The History:

On May 17, 1966, two hundred NVA soldiers crossed the Ben Hai River, the demarcation line dividing North and South Vietnam and followed a narrow jungle trail through the lower half of the six-mile-wide demilitarized zone. Their mission was to reconnoiter Quang Tri Province prior to an invasion by the ten thousand men of NVA Division 324B. Morale was high.
General Westmoreland ordered General Walt's Marines to conduct the reconnaissance needed to evaluate the NVA infiltration. The Marines saw three hundred fifty NVA regulars, mortar pits, trench lines, and foxholes. General Westmoreland ordered Walt to ready seven marine infantry battalions (eight thousand men) to stop 324B. Reinforced by five ARVN infantry and airborne battalions (three thousand men), backed by artillery and aircraft, and covered by the long-range guns of the U.S. 7th Fleet.

Operation Hastings, the largest Marine operation up to that time, was underway!

Multiple props, rockets, bombs, demolitions, planes, tanks, engineers, medics, heavy weapons, and much more will keep the action intense all day long.

A sample of a few missions that will be run throughout the day:
Ammo Dump raid
Gold shipment ambush and retrieval
Demolition missions
Fuel securement
Food Stores Looting
Seizing Property
Kidnapping VIPs
Aerial Recon

Wow! Raids, looting, ambushes and kidnapping! What's not to like about those?

Mission 1:
An American F4 Phantom has been shot down! The pilot parachuted and has landed in the village of Con Thien. He has marked his position with smoke. A 7-man squad from each team is tasked to retrieve/capture him. HURRY!

The Opening mission will start 3 minutes before the rest of the game (meaning that the 7-man squads will start 3 minutes before the rest of the team). 400 points to bring him back alive; 100 points to bring his body back. He is worth a whole lot more alive than he is dead, so try to keep him alive!

Warning: there could be booby traps anywhere!
