Im not as good as a lot of people that i know with computers, but it seems like AMD is always better for the price.

same clock speed but 80 bucks difference. i know intel is "hyper threaded" but that whole hyper thread thing sounds a loud of shit. so please explain to me
no "omfg you fucking suck at computers" answers
it seems that EVERY gun these days shoots ropes, money, tits, lasers, etc....put this in your sig if yours still shoots the other team...

Why does TechPB attempt to solve all problems with shitting on stuff? Hahahaha.

I didn't know that, but you can still buy amd processors for home computers so...

Yes, AMD may be a little cheaper, great for anyone on a budget, but in terms of performance Intel is the way to go.

Just look at the benchmarks..

Fx series is COMPLETE shit. It was overhyped, then when people Tried they found out it didnt work very well.
This is why:
http://semiaccurate....single-problem/
Also bulldozer is a new Architecture, that is not nearly as re-find as intel SB.

all my legos are stored at my parents hose... so that wont be happening....

What do ou mean by performance. Performance in my mind is speed and it says they have same clock speed
Benchmark?

Clock speed is just one piece of the performance picture. Different chips, boards, and system architectures will excel at different tasks. Here's a great resource for CPU comparisons:

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/CPU/2

You can see how different chips perform at different benchmark tests (tasks).

Intel: Great architectures at a Premium price. Quad cores can potentially rip 10 medium intensity programs to shreds, 2 high intensity programs to shreds.

AMD: Not as awesome architectures at a cheap price. Quad cores can potentially rip 6 medium intensity programs to shreds, one high intensity program to shreds.

I think what the deal is that theyre not going to be investing more money into R&D for home computers but will continue to sell what they have. They are going into mobile technology now if im not mistaken.
