I have a teammate flying in from Alaska to O'hare at 8:25 am on Friday. Is there anyone available to pick him up and bring him to CPX? We are coming from the wrong direction, otherwise we would be able to get him on the way in. If no one can help we will go get him but I wanted to check with all these friendly ballers on here to see if anyone can help. He will just have his gear bag. Please help!

They can even take the train to Chicago and then down to Joliet. Getting rides from the Joliet Train Station would be much easier.

Picking up someone at O'hare that early in the morning means fighting traffic to get there. Going down to Joliet from there should be fairly easy, but traffic to get to airport will not be very friendly.

Thank you, Sean! I'll suggest this to him! I just thought if someone was right there and they could spare a little extra room for a soldier stationed in AK.

Depending on when my flight gets into O'hare he could probably catch a ride with me since I'll be renting a car and heading out that way. I won't know until I book my flight though within the next month or so.

Honu and I talked about heading down Thursday night to set up camp. If we do that, one of us can probably pick him up at the train station in Joliet if he can get there. Depending how far it is from CPX he can give us a call when he leaves O'Hare and we'll meet him there.

Thank you guys for your willingness to be of help to a fellow baller!!! I have pm'ed both of you! Still hoping to catch someone who is going to be in the area and not have to go out of their way to help. The train station will be the last resort option if possible.

Just a little heads up, if you do take the train from O'hare, you can take it to Midway airport, which is about an hours drive from CPX.

But isn't it about an hours drive from O'hare as well though? At least that is what it took me last year from O'hare.

Yeah, that kind of confused me too. Why would he go from O'hare to Midway again? Can anyone please tell me the name of train station that is closest to the field?

Dude, Sky clued me in on this thread. Tell your dude no worries. I'll meet him at O'HARE Friday morning. Just easier for him. AK to IL is enough traveling for one dude. Least I can do for someone serving our country. I'll PM you my cell number and dude can call me when we get closer to fine tune the plan.

Hang loose bro

Honu to the rescue (and stealing my thunder for offering a ride, haha). Legit, this is why we do well as a community. Always willing to help people out.

Honu, thank you so much! I texted him to let him know! I'm sure that you've met Olie before when we came to Living Legends 3 and I believe you ran alongside him at DDay a few years ago. He had to leave LL3 early so that he could go to Okinawa for awhile. Again, thank you so much!!!
