Well I was at the field today and I swear I got hit in the head at least 10 times. What do you guys do to make it suck less. The sad part was only 2 were from being shot, the others were from rentals shooting me with their tippmanns while I was walking off.

headbands are stupid and they dance all over the place on your head.

beanies, on the other hand, are the best thing ever. never play without one.

I agree, beanies are great. I wouldn't recommend them for hot and humid weather, though, as they can get really hot.

Backward baseball cap (or equivalent) also works.

Having hair always helps (Mike can't really do anything about that), a beanie is good as well since it will cushion the shot, also you'd be surprised at how much a headwrap helps. Another good thing about the headwraps is you can get a dyecam or realtree camo one and it hides paint really well.

you know how old men wear their baseball hats? with a ton of space/air in there, they basically just set it on their head. I do that with a bandana and my hair kinda creates a cushion inside of there... head shots hurt regardless i think though lol

Wear a beanie. It'll still hurt, but won't hurt as much.

I really hate getting bounces from fucking rec paint on the head. I got domed three games in a row one time. one of them hit hard enough I wanted to walk off the field.

I get shot in the head a ton. So years ago I got a Flex 8 full helmet.

It gives you enough protection that you rarely get your bell rung. (but, it has happened, EVEN with a full helmet).

I always recommend kids under the age of 15 should wear a full helmet when playing.

Sandana, then a baseball cap on backwards would work.

I wore this out once, and got shot point blank on the top of the head from like 6 feet away and he shot the cap off... had this welt on the corner of my forehead and had to go to work like that... and i work in a hotel, where i meet guests.... =,= got some stares and questions that day...

Thick beenie or this:

You can always wear the turtle cap

Best options that you can play with at any field. I got bunkered once, about a foot and a half away right in the head, wearing my Hundredth Monkey turtle cap, and I felt it, but it wasn't that bad. Something like that should have given me quite the welt, but later that day, I looked in the mirror, and it was only slightly red where I took the hit. Kind of almost felt like a zit was forming there, but never did.

As awesome as those are, and I use them, they aren't legal at alot of tournaments, and even some fields will say that they are too much like a ghilie, so if you get hit in the head at all, you would be automatically be out. Plus they stick out a bit, so something that might come close, but not hit, will suddenly be a hit by a reg.

If your playing rec-ball, id wear just a beanie or a headband when it gets hotter. For tournaments and practices, or just really competitive play, I wear a headband under a beanie. I don't like wearing both for rec-ball just because it does cause extra-bounces, and I kinda feel like an ass getting extra bounces in rec-ball.

Fullclip headband/sandana. They have fuckin' suede backing with a gel hex inside the headband so you get huge padding with amazing breathability.

oldschool play is about sportsmanship and respect, oldschool gear is available on Ebay.

I started wearing a stocking cap. Works well, but I'll have to find an alternative when the weather starts to warm up.
