Grey ghost will perform better, but the phantom has more options.

Ghost. I've been considering selling my Phantom for a ghost for a while.

I have never been THAT impressed with the Phantom. The trigger geometry sucks, the frame's are just annoying, they bind if you don't set them up perfectly...

I would take a ghost over a phantom.

when push comes to shove, In a Pure Stock class configuration, the Ghost is more refined, and tighter all around. the trigger is nicer, and pump is smoother. the shots are more efficient.

However, that being said. The Ghost has a hell of a time keeping up in the "Modular" department, Phantoms are still easily one of the best platform designed marker.

Not to mention, the GG has built in detents. No need for rings or underbored barrels. However, I HATE the way the GG's pump feels, along with the feel of the grips. I'm a Phantom guy through and through. As far as modular goes, the Phantoms better, but the GG isn't that far away. You can still bottomline it and throw an OC feed on it, and really, that's all you need.

IMO I will always take a Phantom over a Grey Ghost, but the Grey Ghost is the winner in technical aspects.

Last I checked, there were no Micro-Grey Ghosts.
So the Phantom wins in my book :)

Micro Phantoms are fun for occasional play, but I wouldn't ever use it as my primary.

I picked the Ghost over the phantom because of it's less modularity (and damn it is a smexy marker).

They are both great little markers, but I felt if I had a phantom, I would end up dumping more and more $$ into it. Not on repairs or performance items, but ya know the duckslide is damn pretty, and another couple of hundred bucks.

I would say if your the kind of person who likes to build a marker into what you want, go with the phantom, if you want a high end marker that really in my opinion needs nothing else, go with the Ghost.

Hmmm, it says it's backordered. Although they had them in stock yesterday.

Oops. I guess I just bought the last Grey Ghost....

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. The stares are priceless and after the first game or so you get to see the grins from the ref and players who know....priceless.
