Ok, so here's the deal...
this past week i installed virtue eyes into my PMR and only after i did, i noticed that when i put too much pressure on my grips or shook the marker too hard the eyes would read as blocked or dirty, also at one point when i started to press one of the buttons, they would read as blocked/dirty. I took the grips off a few times and rearranged the connections, making sure nothing was out of place or being pinched, but no matter what i tried the problem persisted. It continued to do so until i realized once when i took the grips off to take another look that it was happening when the battery touched the [virtue] board!

so i moved the piece of foam that i had keeping the battery in place from the the grip side to the board side, blocking the battery from touching the board. (it's a regular duracel battery btw) since i put that in place, no matter how hard i shake or squeeze the marker, i haven't been getting a false reading.

is this something others have had a problem with? or is this something new?
