I know its recommended to use a low pressure output on the G6R. But if I can avoid it I'd rather not spend $50 to put a new reg on my tank. I currently have the standard ninja reg on my tank, which I can adjust down to about 450psi output. Is that low enough?

Yes. I also have a G6R. Standard high pressure is around 850 psi output. Standard Ninja regs ( like I have) can go down to about 500 psi. That's low pressure. The G6R is ABLE to perform at super low pressure like the SLP reg at 250 psi. So all in all it's ok to run at that output pressure. Hope this helps! :D

Edit: also Mike the big man himself ran his G6R at I think 600 psi output for his gun review and played with it and it was fine

Yep, you're fine. Just remove the shims from the Ninja reg, adjusting it down to Low pressure. The G6r can run at high pressures, however, that runs a higher risk of breaking some of the interior seals in the marker.

I agree LP is acceptable, SLP is more efficient, but unnecessary
