really...anything is a good starter gun as long as you can

1. Afford it (have you played before? because if you don't know that you'll be hooked for the long-run, going super-expensive is not feasible)

2. Familiarize yourself with whatever marker you're looking at getting before actually going out to buy it (read the online manual, watch youtube videos on how to maintain it, go to your local shop and actually hold and shoot it). make sure you're comfortable with it and confident that you can take good care of it

Ya know, I started with a 98c, but I got a PMR after that. 07 that is. I would say that is the best step forward into the Speedball/Electro scene. I know the SLG 08 is good too, but you can probably find an uppd 07 PMR for the same price.

i need a good starter gun preferibly an electro and the price doen't really matter just not too much for a first gun

In that case, Spyders, Ions, Vibes, they are all bad choices, since price isn't a major factor if he isn't breaking the bank, go for something like a PMR or SLG, heck even a PM6 UL'd is becoming cheaper. But, as the other guys said, get familiar, like the gun you are gonna shoot, be ok with the maintenance and so on and so forth.

Before making any purchase make sure you familiarize yourself with the gun you decide on.

I could make this a really lengthy post but i'm going to assume you have played paintball and are lookin in the 300 dollar range. Check out the PMR, SLG, dangerous power G3, G3 SE, and dangerous power F8. There are still others in that price range too, just make sure you read up a bit before you decide!
