I need a cheap, but GOOD editing program.

It can be free as well, it just needs to be GOOD.

For Videos or Photos? Because as far as photo editing is concerned, Gimp is top notch, and open source. (which means it's free)

Yeah, for pictures I use Gimp and Google Picasa.

VLC makes a video editor called VLMC, it's open sourced, and supposed to be pretty good as far as free video editing software's concerned.

I like Gimp better than PS. And it runs insanely fast on any computer.


As for video editiing, for basic cutting, this, that, I use VideoPad. Free.

However I would recommend using a trial of Sony Vegas, when It expires, download another versions trial, so on and so forth. Quite a few months of free amazing editing software right there.
