All RATs have a wing that your thumb sits on. And the RAT 7 and 9 (maybe 5, but I think only 7 and 9) come with an accessories pack, which will net you a pinky wing as well.

Really, that's pretty sweet. I need to upgrade from my old G500, all the rubber grips are coming off. :(

I'm debating on whether to get the R.A.T 7 or the M.M.O 7, its a tough choice. Also, getting a gaming keypad would be sick to have but the only one ive found is the razer.

I dont see why people want a gaming keyboard. Limited hotkeys, which are in out of the way places, and you still have to use up most of your fingers for WASD. Gamepads like the n52, Cyborg Command Unit, and G13 are where it is at. Tons of hotkeys, everything right there, and a thumbstick to eliminate the WASD, and leave all your fingers for hotkeying.

Also, I just checked out the MMO 7, and that would be my choice. I didnt even know that they released it. Anyway, the sniper button on the RAT series is way too far forward, so it is hard to push, plus it is small. Fixed on the MMO 7. Plus, the MMO 7 brings back the wing button which I miss SOOOOOOOO badly from my old Cyborg mouse. I bound jump to it, so I would just tap my thumb for jumping. I ended up giving up my "internet forward" button for jump, and lost out on my old "instant cast interrupt" button due to that. MMO 7 is very similar to the RAT 7, but the new button layout is awesome. Now I want one... :(

But then wouldnt you have to have both your keypad and your keyboard plugged in? Just seems like wasted space. Also, Cyborg command unit isnt sold anymore...

Yes, you have both plugged in. I keep my Cyborg Command Unit at the top left, and use a Razer Goliathus Extended XL mousepad. More than long enough so that I get soft coverage on both sides of my keyboard, and it lets me keep my left arm nicely outstretched. And a bit of wasted space is SO worth it for an analog stick.

Hm interesting. I might try out the razer nostromo and see how that goes. Ive always favored razer as far as gaming equipment though but i guess it wouldnt hurt to check out what logitech has, if they still have em though.

Yeah, the G13 is still around. But it is a good chunk more expensive, and I think it is a bit too large. Back when I bought my Cyborg Command Unit (at least 4 years ago) the n52 was still made by Belkin, and it was a POS. I dont think it had an analog back then either, it was a D-pad. But the Razer one is fairly nice, although I will be using my CCU until it dies.

I just looked at the g13 and it looks more refined than the razer one. Also, the LED display is really nice. But for almost $30, the question is, is it worth it? I looked at the CCU and it looked tight, wish i would be able to get one of those.

The G13 is big though, I would suggest you check one out in person. But they are nice, although I think the n52 sits better in the hand. The massive downward slant on the G13 is a minus for me. Also, the LCD screen on it is all but useless. The n52 isnt a true analog stick, though. It is a D-pad with a disk on it. Analog sticks are nicer, both for comfort, and control.

The only reason I own a "gaming keyboard" is for the LCD, I use it to tell me CPU/GPU temps as well as what's going on with my machine so I know when I'm in game. Other than that, I don't use any of the hotkey features. lawl

Honestly, the only thing I like about the screen is that it shows media information if im playing music and system info. :P But i really like how they have groves in the "WASD" keys, that would be nice to have.

I find a lot of use in my G15 keyboard. I bound all the macro keys to different spells and shouts in Skyrim so I press one button and it changes to and auto uses, buy commands for Counterstrike, timed commands for Garry's Mod to set things off in correct sequences, set timed commands for steering, brake and gas inputs in Grid for an auto-driver (even set like 10 different profiles for different courses), etc, etc. You just have to think of some off the wall ideas, and there is plenty for you to mess with. Macros not always about the DPS of your dark elf druid. ;)

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. Building a laptop is nearly impossible though, since companies don't make universal sized parts and cases like they do with desktops. So a huge discount like this is the next best thing.

It's not that they don't make "Universal Parts", it's that most of the parts are soldered directly onto the mobo's. So it's almost impossible to replace parts.

Yeah, but you cant really build a printer, or a monitor.

It's not that they don't make "Universal Parts", it's that most of the parts are soldered directly onto the mobo's. So it's almost impossible to replace parts.

You "can" replace them, but its difficult as de-soldering parts is hard, and you need to be experienced in soldering.

hmm lets see i have the standard razer ambidextrous mouse that came with my laptop, the razer death adder, the razer naga, razer keyboard, 2 razer mouse pads (Goliath control and the slick one for laptop) razer headset.

i also have the razer xbox 360 controller with the extra hotkeys, guess im a bit of a razer fanboy. my only gripe is some of their less expensive products feel cheap, but yet to have one fail me even though they dont always have the best reviews for how long they last.

I hate Razer products. Ergonomics suck, practicality is absolutely nil (like 18 buttons on one mouse? Seriously?), the useful buttons are so weak it's hard to tell if you are clicking them, and all the flashy colors are distracting on a mouse.

Maybe I'm just an old timer, but a dim backlit keyboard, and a $15 Logitech mouse with two buttons and a wheel are more than enough.

Only up to certain resolutions. Because I'm running 2 screens at full 1080P I need at least 2GB of VRAM. And the best cards with that much VRAM IMO are the 570's.

Meh, I've had nothing but AMD GPU's for 4 years. I'm ready for a Nvidia card.
