Got myself a new CPU cooler, a closed loop one from work. Pretty freaking cool. And I jury rigged a second fan on it. Doubley intake!

It's this exactly:

http://www.bestbuy.c...uhler&cp=1&lp=1

So far not going above like 45C under load. Usually it stays around 35ish. (Except if I'm running steam, origin, raptr, teamspeak, 50+ tabs in chrome, and winamp in the background all while playing a game for some reason)

Oh yeah, with everything at max, and 1080P, it played Borderlands 2 at ~38FPS, and it was pretty quiet and cool, about 45 dbs, 40-50 degrees.

It's extremely quite actually. Quieter than my 4870 and my 5850's were. The only things in my case I actually hear now are the 200mm top fan and 1 of my jury rigged side fans.

Lol, doing the window pissed me off since the holes didn't line up and stuff, but acrylic was only $10
I really want to get into case modding but then I'd need a seconds rig (one for use, one for modding.)

Oh and I have to RMA my RAM, one stick is good, and the other failed memtest with 25000 errors within seconds (litteraly less then 5).

I'm not buying a new CPU Until the next AMD comes out probably. Or if the Sandy Bridges drop in price.
But, on the note of revamping this bitch, I got myself a new Razer mouse, it's pretty sweet. As well, I got a free copy of WIndows 8 from MS, and I might be moving to Geek Squad at work. Pretty cool stuff.

No commission. Working off commission is terrible. (Been there, done that shit) And 5% above cost is our discount.

That's a pretty good discount.

On an unrelated note, the sequel to my favorite book Little Brother, Homeland is as fucking awesome as the first, as to be expected. But I'm not done reading it so who knows.

P.S. If you haven't read Little Brother, the book is the shit.

I don't think you'd get bored of these books fast, they're really interesting and all about technology. (the story is about a techie kid, but it's really awesome and not nerdy lame).

On another unrelated noted, my Ubuntu VM is really laggy, any ideas on how to fix this?

Allocate more RAM to the VM? That usually fixes it for me.

Hmmm. Have you checked your CPU usage while the VM is running?
