It is set up that way.. i judt dont understand teh use for the ar carry handle sight

i would kinda prefer to have the sight on the right side, since i usally tilt in the marker that way... but only if there wasnt a stock..

This is one option of using a red dot with a stock..

Immunity to effect, cause, internet porn.

I should have clarified: That's the way these bodies should have been built.
As-is, even if you use an offset sight rail adapter the sight is going to be elevated so high and then turned at a 45* angle that you run into clearance issues with the back of the loader.
If they had just put the rear sight rails at a 45* angle on the body itself in the first place there would be no clearance issues with most sights and people wouldn't have to use an adapter.

Better to stay with this sight mounted atop the marker right behind the barrel

Top one in the pic Posted Image
Its the Occluded sight and doesn't require you to put you eye right up against it. Probably the best option for these purposes seeing as we have to wear our goggles to play.

Any red dot sight functions as an OEG when the viewpoint past the lens is obscured.
They function fine, and I use OEGs on my pumps, but a true dot sight that you can actually look through is almost always better.
If they had given this body offset sight rails, mounting proper sights like this, or OEGs, would be much easier.
Beyond that, there's the clearance issue. With today's low-profile feednecks and loader shapes, putting the sight rail on top of the gun means that most sights will not be able to squeeze into the space between the loader and the rail. This is true of both OEGs and dot sights.
Again, moving the rail *45 to the side eliminates this problem.

If they sell the body alone, I'd be willing to buy it. I can make my own apex tip ;)

Actually, I'd probably buy it no matter what lol. I still think it looks sick. B)

Using a gun that's been hardly maintained and tossed from person to person more than a village whore is hardly a fair way to compare the marker.

Seeing as how the Etha seems heavily based on the Automag with Level 10, maybe they'll now release a new Warp? ;)

I'd use something like this with it:

It might solve the foolish "rail behind the hopper," too.

So why didn't they just mount offset sight rails on it in the first place?
Posted Image

Probably because the person who did this doesnt have Occluded sights or doesn't know how they work. It would have been better to use the occluded sight because you can get you eye up to this sight while wearing a mask

But that's what I keep point out- it's not just an issue of sight picture; it's an issue of clearance for the sight to work underneath the loader.
And if you want to bring your eye up to it, just remove the stupid CAR stock.

id rather take the tac drone....if you have heard it firing..you would know..to me it sounds awesome, but you could easily distinguish it from other markers in a game..

don't get me wrong, the etha's good too, and the price is good where i am..cant wait to see the EMC in person

i dont know why everyone wants the tac drone..... looks awful .... unreliable and the ratio of DOA markers is too high .....
etha on the other hand performs great ... and the EMC looks good ..... should of come with the marker honestly .... but well money making method i guess...

I saw several Ethas in action at Canadian Carnage and I was impressed. The day the EMC comes out I'm getting that and an Etha. I really hope they'll offer the 3 colors right away, I really want the olive one.

Looks a lot like a g-1/sp-1 with a non matching grip/trigger frame. First of all, I think both the g-1/sp-1 and the Ethan with this kit are freaking stupid. It doesn't make the paintball gun any more realistic and just adds weight. I like tippmann with all the extra stuff because the whole gun matches and makes it look realistic. This literally looks like someone took an Ethan trigger frame and reg and put it on a g-1/sp-1. Its like a wanna be tac one. For the record, I like tac ones.

And for the guys saying this makes their etha milsim, it doesn't. Putting rails on a speed ball marker that still uses a massive hopper and doesn't look anything like a real gun doesn't simulate the military at all, which is what milsim stands for. Military simulation. This is retardedness simulation, resim

I find your point quite off-base. The only thing that can truly simulate warfare is really warfare. If this "milsim" isn't good enough for you, go play magfed. Most people prefer to have a gun that's actually practical for its use. And you're saying the tac one is ok, but the etha emc and the tactical drone don't count? Really? Doesn't look like a real gun? Lets see... a gun is a round tube, with a trigger/frame, and normally some rails/sights. How does this not qualify? Any "real" gun company out there ( H&K, Colt, Steyr, FN, whoever) could make a gun in any amount of time from now that would look exactly like the Etha EMC. I really don't understand what you're bitchin about...

I do play mag fed. And I never said anything against the drone tactical, so why are you making things up?

And no, this is not military simulation. The military doesn't use a real gun that has a double trigger with a massive brick on top of it. Yes, any firearm manufacturer can make a gun to look like the emc etha, but they won't, because its all looks without any function. And yes, the tac one and drone tactical are okay because they don't add 20 useless rails on it. You can have looks but when there is absolutely no function to it, its just retarded. And it doesn't even look good.

And you have no idea the definition of simulation. Simulating something is getting as close as possible without it being the actual thing. Its no longer a simulation when you're in warfare. That's like saying you're gonna simulate skateboarding by actually skateboarding. Sorry, but adding a plastic body with uselessly placed rails to a speedball marker doesn't make it milsim

The reason a tac one and tactical drone are okay is because they are actually tactical. They are not milsim in any way, they are tactical. They use the correct tools ina minimalistic way to get the job done

I think you're applying the term "milsim" way too tightly. In paintball, milsim implies anything vaguely "tactical." it does not have to be a dead ringer for an actual firearm to classify as milsim.

I dont see how you can say the tac one, (and I guess you like the drone too?) is/are ok, but the Etha isn't. the rails are optional, so you can put on as many as you want. It's already light. A tippmann will come out 3-5 times the weight of the etha with EMC. And by simulating warfare, I was reflecting on the actions, the style of play. Not the guns themselves. Anyways, people put double triggers on their Phenoms and shit all the time. It just makes it more practical, especially if you are playing at a semi-only field, as then you can't use PSP/3burst/fullauto. Also, most milsim guys who use tippmanns dont use the taccap. A lot of them use the Pinokio hopper for the cyclone. Hell, the standard cyclone hoppers are damned footballs on the side of the gun! Just because you use a hopper doesnt make it not milsim. And, just to be a prick, you could always mount a Qloader on the etha. Which would use the rails. Or you could mount a grenade launcher on the underslung rail (which is milsim and paintball practical at the same time).

Just because its not to the extreme of milsim, doesn't make it not at all milsim. Yes, mag fed is probably the closest you can get, but thats especially impractical when you are playing a scenario, where high amounts of paint and firepower are a large part of scenario style gameplay. I'm personally on a scenario team, we plan on playing the UWL soon, and already host scenarios and big games at our home field. 95% of our players use an electro. Which I don't think makes any difference. Its all about how you play, not what you play with.

there is a difference between "tactical" and "taticool".... most "milsim" or "tactical" paintball gear seems to me to just be tacticool... lets put this in perspective... the reason military weapons have optics and lights and laser aiming devices is becuase they help the operator get the job done more efficiently, at greater rage (when possible), and with less chance of collateral damage... its actually easier to shoot at and acquire your target with a red dot then it with with iron sights with an M4/M16...

now, look at paintball... most military functional accessories are pretty useless in game for a couple reasons... the ranges at which we shoot each other are far inside the ranges that optics really help... then you have the flight path of the paintballs... a bullet will hit the same spot, within reason, every time as long as the shooter is consistent with his or her breathing, sight picture and trigger pull... where as with paint, that shit has a huge shot group because of the inconsistency of the projectiles... making optics pretty useless from my experience... i hear it all the time at my field "but i had the red dot on you the whole time, and none of my paint hit... WTF!!!!"... most military accessories, when mounted on a paintball gun, are there for looks... lights and lasers will give you away at close range, and having played against people with lights and lasers on their guns at night... it makes for an easy target... just shoot at the light...

the EMC kit will appeal to a type of player that doesnt want to spend a boat load of cash on multiple guns for both speed and woods, but at still looking for that tactical look...

so, to robot0ninja... the etha may not be for you... but there is no reason you should attack other people or their opinions of it, we all have out own, and usually diferent opinions... none of which are right or wrong, but that doesnt mean you have to take someone down a notch or two because their opinion of "milsim" or "tactical" doesnt match yours... and in case you want to come at me about not being milsim... i shoot an orange and white vicious ego11 in the woods, and wear some camo... yet, with all my bright colors.. i am still able to creep up on people anot not be seen till i shoot... at the end of the game, its not what you play with, but how you play...

no, rails make most paintball guns tacticool... as most accessories that one would mount to a rail on a PB gun dont really enhance the performance of the marker, like they mostly do on real military firearms... but, in terms of paintball, its accepted that if it resembles a military or tactical weapon, its considered Milsim... and if PE markets it as a Milsim kit for the Etha... then thats how they market it...

but it doesnt resemble a military or tactical weapon. thats the thing, it resembles a plastic bod with rails snapped on to a speedball gun. now if the kit actually resembled some kind of actual weapon or firearm it would be milsim. but since its literally a plastic tube with rails you snap on the gun and changes nothing on the functionality of the marker, its not milsim

i think you fail to understand something here... simulation doesnt mean 1 for 1 exact replica... yes, there are paintball guns that you can buy that look very much like the real thing... but, in general terms, the EMC kit is in fact a MilSim paintball gun, does it have useless rails? of course it does... do real military weapons have useless rails? of course they do... to me, the EMC looks like a modernized Grease Gun... its close enough to looking like a real firearm... but, thats not the point of this kit... yet, its the point you seem to be arguing pretty damn hard... the EMC, as i understand it, is simply a cosmetic shroud that can be added to speedball looking gun to make it cosmetically fit in more with the woodsball/scenario/milsim crowd... is this for everyone? no... but maybe its for the person that doesnt want to drop ~500 on both a speedball gun or a woodsball gun... so, i think its safe to say at this point that you are not interested in the EMC... you only want to argue the merrits of its MilSim claim and what MilSim actually is... so, instead of cluttering this thread any more arguing about a quite stupid point... if you would like to have a calm discussion about the definition of milsim, make another thread about it in the woodsball/scenario sub forum...

Haven't seen anyone post in this thread in a while so thought I'd post up my Etha with the EMC installed, RAP4 Collapsible stock, Dye Rotor, Deadlywind 14" Fibur Barrel and Empire folding Fore Grip. Thinking of getting all blacked out screws as well as macro fittings to compliment the rest of it. Hope this helps if any of you guys are on the fence of picking either marker or kit up :)

Uhm, wow and beautiful.

Step 1. Buy EMC kit
Step 2. Put over Axe
Step 3. Get asked many questions about the process

Wondering what other guns will fit into the EMC kit.

EMC looks cool. I guess it's more of a disguise as to not get crap from ignorant woodsball players.
