I usually eat a lot of protein, I just burn through energy so fast and I'm not really used to eating less.

It's really hard. The past two days I was able to do it. Tonight for dinner I just couldn't stop eating. I'm pretty sure it was because I had been eating such a small amount of carbs, my body wasn't use to it and I felt really shitty. I need to get my discipline down, but you can do it man!

My body really isn't used to it, thats the problem. I'll focus more and have more filler foods like bananas.

More water.

I think that's why a lot of people get fat easily. They don't drink enough water and they will the space up with more food.

I remember the first 3 weeks staring the new diet were terrible. I couldn't stop thinking about how hungry I was, especially at night. I fought through it and finally something just clicked with my body and it realized this was the new normal. Since then (4 months ago) I feel fine eating my reduced calories to the point where I almost can't eat more than 2000 calories in a day even if I try

One thing my wife and I started doing is for dinner, when we made chicken for example, she would cut the breast in half and that would be one serving. After you eat one of those plus a cup of veggies and a glass of milk, you will be good. You won't walk away feeling dull, but 10 minutes later you will feel satisfied if not full. You just need to wait a few minutes for everything to settle.

Also eat a lot of protein like chicken or nuts. Protein satiates you a lot longer than carbs or fats. In the middle of the day when you are hungry, drink water, tea, coffee, or even a diet soda. This will fill your stomach without adding any calories and will probably get you to your next meal

Just an update, I've cut my portion sizes down a lot, stopped eating junkfood. I went from eating about 2500-3000 calories a day to about 1500, while getting protein and all that junk.

Good job man, keep it up! Hopefully your cravings have gone down a little by now but if not, they will soon

The only cravings I get are when there's ice cream. Otherwise I don't really feel the need to eat anything unhealthy.

What exercises could I do to build core strength?

if you're really really struggling then blend all your meals. Studies show that liquids stay in your stomach longer as well as having more nutrients absorbed.

Just keep a water bottle nearby at all times. It'll become a habit to just take a sip, even if you're not thirsty. Helped me a lot.

Chrrrrrrrrrp.
