Hey guys!

I thought i might ask this question because i have been wondering how everyone of you contributes in a small way to the growth of paintball. Sure, the advertisements from the big companies like Dye, Planet Eclipse, and Empire bring in players but i believe the biggest thing that makes people come back for more are the people that are already into the sport.

I, myself, upload videos of me playing at my local paintball park to give new and veteran players something to watch and review. I have had many questions sent to my YouTube inbox concerning paintball and i believe this is how i contribute to the growth of paintball by showing new and veteran players what paintball is like in the comfort of their homes.

Here is what i want to know, how does everyone else contribute to the sport of paintball? Whether it is running a club at school, inviting friends or coworkers, etc. I would love to know and i'm sure the community would too.

The community is what makes paintball so great, and it was definitely what made me come back for more.

Well, let's hear it!

By telling everyone you know about PAINTBALL!!!!!

This. And answering "Do you play any sports?" with "Yeah, I play paintball. Best sport ever. You should try it out at _____."
I am also the prophet of paintball in my class by telling everyone my paintball stories during 'Weekend Updates'.

All of you attending phoenix please read!!
My Challenge for You:

Tell one person about the event while you’re in town.

I want to reinstate the drive we used to have to personally spread the word, the excitement, about paintball. Talk to the person next to you on the plane. Tell them you’re traveling to Phoenix with a group of guys from all walks of life to compete in this massive event with over 1,000 other players.

While at a restaurant, car rental, gas station, hotel - let them know you’ve traveled here with your team to compete in a nationwide paintball tournament. Personally invite them to come and check it out (it’s free, open to the public, no charge for even grandstand seats).

People like to talk about growing our sport, why not act on it? Lets let the area know about our financial impact as well. When you’re paying that restaurant bill, picking up your rental vans, checking in at the hotel – let them know why they’re getting your business – because you’re here to play paintball.

If we each make a point to tell at least one other person about paintball while we’re in town, the possible benefits to our sport are endless. Let it start with you and encourage your teammates to do the same.

And never forget, you are the ambassadors of our sport. Everything you and your team do while out in public reflects upon us. Make sure it’s a good impact.

Best wishes for a great event and safe travels to all!

I don't? I just go out, bullshit with my friends and have fun. Me buying a case of paint every month isn't going to fuel an industry. I like wearing bright clothes and yelling random shit on the field. I just want to have fun.

Introduce tons of friends to it, talk about it quite a bit. Always be super nice to the people at the field, etc.

I don't do anything at all. Quite frankly, I don't care if people want to join in or not. If they want to get into it, then they could ask me questions and where to go and stuff, but I'm not going to be open and say "Do you want to play paintball sometime?"

I'm more of a "If you want to play, meet me there and we'll play" than a "I'll give you a ride to and fro and make it the best time of your life".

Breaking out the pump for first time players. Promote local fields at charity events, church fairs, pubs
Grabbing a few field passes then handing them out to friends of friends at the bar tends to get a few bookings.
the field makes a few extra dollars n i save on admission. more Tater Tots for everyone.

I buy new gear at local paintball shops instead of busted-ass used crap online. This directly supports the companies who make the gear we use, so they can do more R&D and keep the sport evolving on the equipment side.

I started and run my own private field that is FREE for my players... I've personally gotten over 100 new players to try out the sport at my field, and many of them are now regulars.

I have many complete set ups for new players that I let them borrow free until they can get their own gear (typically they only use it once before buying their own). Including decent masks! They just have to furnish paint and air.

Posted Image

I also make videos that show the fun of the game, and I invented the ZoomCam so the viewers at home can SEE the hits. (many new players see my videos and decide to try the sport for the first time).

Most of all, I have fun, and when someone is having fun, others want to as well!

After this game

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv096MmQLl4

I handed out my custom Trails of Doom stickers to everyone in attendance that wanted them... (I sell them on Ebay to help support my costs for running my field and making paintball videos if you want a set).

Well,I´ve introduced around 8 of my friends to the sport. I also got my mom belive or not to get in to the sport and by her own gear :D. Other than that I try to be nice to newbies and rentals helping them out whenever they get a problem with the rantalmarkers or anything else paintball related. And after i saw that video were Mike let that kid borrow his marker I actually did the same. You guys should have seen the look on that kids face when he lit up a guy with my PMR.

Ive gotten probably somewhere around 10 of my. friends (and counting) to try it and all of them said they loved it. One now has more equipment and markers than me (that may be due to the fact that he's extremely spoiled and his mom would get him 3 luxes just because he said he wanted different colors) but still, getting people to play. And most of them came back to play over and over :D
Seriously, don't cook it naked....
