Alright it's time for round 2 of Living Legends Fan's many questions today's is....

I'll be taking my project salvo with me to living legends and was wondering should I use an airline or no airline?

I should warn you to put your flame shield up cause alot of people on here are gonna troll you for using a tippmann

I would recomend it as long as you aren't planning on shooting a piss ton of paint. It'll take weight off your arms and move it to your vest or pack. The reason I say this isn't a good idea if firing high volumes of paint is that Tippmann markers operate at high pressure and rapid fire with a line can cause your marker to starve air.

Thanks for the heads up, but my salvo has served me well the last 2 years, I see no need to get a new marker while the one I have is great for the amount of paint I shoot. B)

#508 like a BAWS!!!

No worries about Tippmann Trolling here. If it works for you than keep working it.

Have it set up however you regularly play. I Personally can't use a remote unless I'm going pistol (TiPX) only, which I'm actually debating if I should do or not.

I find that pistols are only fun at scenarios if you have 2 things:1.A remote line(covered),and 2.a shit-ton of mags.1 because it isn't fun to have to change a 12 gram every 3 mags when you plan on shooting dozens of mags.And 2 because it isn't fun to have to reload mags that often.I suggest at least probably 5 spare mags along with a couple 10-round tubes so that you have enough paint to last a while.

Same here, got to start early with the savings so the people that shoot LOADS of paint (myself) can afford it! Im in the process of convincing some friends to go but they keep whining about the price ... Smh... Clearly they aren't as smart as us people that will save early for things that ACTUALLY matter!

See its times like this that I am glad I live like 40-30min from CPX I don't need to worry about pricing as much.

Why is the ravine so bad?
(waits to get struck down by lightning)

I think those before me have attempted to explain the Ravine and all it's glory. I have spent two years in a row in that ravine so I know the battle grounds well. I consider it like the cavern of 300. It is the closest thing to Hell that I think of, while you're still having fun.

I would explain to all that signed alliance with me last year that they needed to be prepared to dine in Hell. I think they all took it as a mere joke and metaphor to get people motivated. But they soon found out by the middle of Sat that I was very serious when I would say "Be prepared to Dine in Hell!!"

And I can say very proudly that the Visigoths lived and Dined in Hell all weekend and we all wear our scars mentally and physically proudly in Victory!!

I look forward to seeing all my friends at LL6 as always. Thanks to all my Visigoths from last year and I understand if you do not want to battle by my side again. But for hose that do and are ready. Get ready it will only be harder this time.

That's what I'm saying, luckily she isn't due until a few months after, so I can put away the spare change and play conservatively, I should be alright.

Congrats. I'm actually in the same boat. When my wife told me we were expecting I had to do the math in my head to figure out when she was due, needless to say she noticed the look on my face and called me out on it. So if all goes well it will be my first LL as a dad.

Yeah, if I did my math right she is actually due sometime around my birthday, which is a few months after LL.

Anyway, back on topic....need to feed the rumor beast soon, maybe next week? :D

You never really start to book hotels until the confirmed official date. That is the best practice. As soon as the date is announced you can begin the planning and reservation of hotel rooms.

Also I'm thinking instead of bringing the CCM and Mini I just shell out some cash for a Hammer7 and TiPX, a good idea no?

I say get the tpx then get this:
http://www.hustlepai...arch_id=1435686
Because it is semi-auto,you can put it in a holster,the magazines are alot smaller,and it would probably weigh less and be much more compact.Just remember that first strikes are both hella expensive and fun to shoot,so be careful.(pfft,I didn't accidentally shoot a whole 40 box in my backyard -_- )

I've wrote something on thier page about meeting up with them in toronto. Maybe that would work, unless maybe heroforaday wanna meetup since he is in calgary.

And here is my plan for my marker choices: Hammer7 for FSR (provided we can shoot them at LL) single mag for that reason and a pocket hopper while i reload the mag, remote lined or bottomlined. TiPX to laydown more paint faster.

Looks like 2-3 cases of Marbs (F13 if its cheaper), and maybe 1 case of FS

Sounds cool.I am considering picking up a Hammer7 for solely FSR because my (friends)tpx(that he never uses) is currently a ball whore as she shoots both FSR and evil alot.

So did i do this right?

Flights (WestJet+American Airlines)= $600-700 (maybe cheaper if AA does a partnership thing with NPPL and LL5 and NPPL at same time)
Entry = $50
Paint = $80/case marbs
Air = $15
Food = $100-200
Hotel = $50/person/night (maybe cheaper with LL6 discount) for 3 nights so $150
Transportation from airports, cpx, and hotel = ???? maybe $200 to be safe?

assuming 2 people from edmonton AB to ohare to best western joilet?

It's time to plan the shens that will never happen

the good shens can never be planned. they are pure drunken improvisation. see custom user title for details.

I'm not too sure about that.

The tea party was pretty epic man...

Btw guys ive got 2 quick questions,

I most likely wont be playing pump on friday night (unless i break out the brass eagle for a game or two), but since i havent been to LL before, is friday night the best time to hang out and meet new faces, etc. and maybe see who i can roll with on saturday? (I feel like i have a decent understanding of how saturday and sunday work, friday is just a mystery)-->will everybody hang at the field, or do people go out to eat/drink?

And as far as paint is concerned i know its best to get it early at the event, but let's say i get 3 cases and realize late saturday that i need another, will i be able to pick up a 4th at any time or is this a big inconvenience?

Friday is a mixture of things so it is hard to get a grip on plans for it. It is the best time to meet with people and stuff. Since many show up to get signed up and registered early. Also to get paint work on markers and get the marker within a descent chrono range so Sat will be a quick fix. That for the most part is the morning and mid afternoon. Then some stay for antics and fun hanging, others get in groups and meet up for a nice dinner since we only see each other once to twice a year, while others just party the night away.

The pump games normally do not start til like early evening.

In regards to the paint question, you can get paint, it is best to get some early and then just pick up as you need when you need.

Hope that covers all your questions, if not ask again for more clarification, but that is the best I can do.

Willie put it in a nutshell. Friday is open to whatever you want to do. We got there at 7 AM after driving through the night. We were camping at the field all weekend, so at that time of the day we pretty much could pick wherever we wanted to camp. After we picked our spot, we relaxed for a few hours until the vendors opened and the NPPL started to get active. For the most part of the day we walked around, spent money on swag, drank some nice ice cold (cheap!) beer (it was pretty warm that weekend), watched some NPPL matches, went autograph and picture hunting, made good use of Mike's ice luge, and overall just had a good time. Oh yeah, we picked up our registration and paint too. There is a lot to do on Friday unless you're a bum. If you feel like it, you can play paintball too. We stayed at the field the whole weekend since we camped there. On Saturday, we had a little beer summit. Big paintball games are a great way to put faces to names in the paintball world.

Hoping to see the TechPB Luge again this year...wanted to partake last year, but I thought it was a "private party" sort of deal...now that I know better mwhahaha.

Friday is also a good chance to meet squad leaders and stuff like that, I know Sniperwolf had a "Team Captains and Squad Leaders" meeting on Friday night and passed along some good info, so all in all it's a good time to meet, have fun and be merry. Hoping to get to see some NPPL Matches this year.

Depends on the booth/what needs to get done.

Last year i had a leak out of my GOG G-1 and the GOG guys took apart my G-1, found the leak, fixed it (something to do with the solenoid), then replaced all my O-Rings and lubed it up for free, which was awesome.

Similarly, I had bought an Ego 8 used online from the Nation (go figure), that the ASA Pin had been taken out, and was not included amongst the things I had in the case. So I had to go buy a new ASA (about 40 bucks for a OOPS ASA). Luckily, the guys at the AVID Paintballer Booth installed it for free, as the PE booth was in the NPPL Area, and I would have had to sneak in to go see the PE Tech.
