When I went to get tape, nobody had it. Missed insertion by about 20 minutes hunting it down.

Well for the most part one of problems I ran into was that alot of people didnt know what squad they were on.

Sorry, I thought you were just tapping people for your Barbarians. I had to get Red tape as well as tape for the Huns, which were both being handed out by the same person (at the time it was Murph I think). You could tell he was getting flustered because he knew he had to get to the starting area.
Flat out, it would have been a lot smoother had people (again, myself included) gone to get tape earlier and known what squad they were on. That way the people with significant roles such as yourself can do what they need to do instead of admin work.

Another reason was they didn't get the tape until about 10 minutes before the opening ceremony, so it made it difficult to get stuff done.

Or you can do the smart, good idea and show up a little early to get tape. Took me all of 10 minutes to get my Horde tape and then my Visigoths tape

I would assume so, but I haven't heard one way or another.

If the players club has been working on this already, than they have been very good about not letting any information out this year. Last year even with the threat of permaban on the table some info was still leaked if you paid close enough attention. Nothing has gotten out this year if they are or not. I would assume that since it was done last year, this year wouldn't be that big of a secret, but we all know Mike is crafty.

Correct.
Arm Tape for Team (Red for Horde, Blue for New Empire)
6" strip of tape to hang from your mask to denote which squad you are in.

There is nothing in the Player's Club concerning this yet. Also, I post things in there before the general public about LL. I posted today in the Player's Club who the Generals and XO's are for LL6. They also got to see the website before it went live too!

Players club basically gets advanced info, and as well they should. Considering that most of the planning takes place on TechPB, advanced knowledge of the event would make sense for the "members" to have.

Wait so that means you've got both Generals selected? Well than congrats sir, another notch closer.

Being friends with a general does have it's benefits ;)

Well needless to say I will be playing Horde once again and I will spare no one in my wrath as I seek to destroy all opposition in the Ravine come hell or high water!

The ravine you say? See you there so I can make sure you get back to the deadbox for more water.

Actually I have no idea if we'll be shooting at the horde or for, if its at I figured I'd start early with the trash talk.

For some reason, this just solidified my choice of playing for the Horde. I will definitely have to bring cookies. Maybe would should do thus mid game. Maybe some milk and cookie shens?!

The town annoys me. One side pushes into the town, the other team gets into speedbal and hits the buildings with rockets. First team is out, second team moves in. First team re-inserts and rockets the back side of the town from the hill. Wash rinse repeat.

If you are coming from the hyperball side of the field, it is the wooded area on the left, kind of behind the airball field area. It's a bunch of hills and Valleys that have some buildings scattered around and it's open sight lines make every inch gained a slugfest. You could take 4 hours and maybe gain 100 feet.

However it's extraordinarily important as the length of it allows you to take attack the enemy along their flank and keep them rooted in their base.

Yeah I was there then, I went straight down the tape line and wound up holding off like 50 people with three people with me. It sucked in there.

One of my favorites is still the mass "human waves" that the Horde side formed on that saturday, when we just pushed wave after wave against the beleagured Imperial troops. Finally we smashed through and took the objective, I got hit in the mask o nthe last push, so by the time I got back, everyone was sitting around BS'ing lol.

That was when NiCo, Ihasacellular, a random kid and myself started pushing through the back woods, seeing what was up and ended up sneaking up behind the Imperial Base, so we started moving real slow. Sadly we hesitated too long and moved too slow, by the time we got into an attacking position, a ref popped out and told us the game was over for the day lol.
