Saw this on MCB.
I think it's a good intro to paintball for younger kids.

Or buy one and fuck with it on the field.
The paint that it comes with is supposedly Evil.

It comes with ultra evil supposedly. It's all spring operated, and the mask it comes with doesn't have a bottom, so all it is is goggles. And I'm pretty sure the goggles are rated for actual paintball use, but I'm not 100 % positive.

I don't know, it looks alright. If they're cheap I might pick a few up, just for shits n gigs. Plus it'd be a whole lot easier to convince your friends to try it, since it doesn't hurt.

i saw some at CPX on friday when i stopped off for some open play before heading in to chicago for my uncles wedding, they are total bullshit, they don't shoot more than 10 feet. the paint doesn't even break, the facemasks do have ears and bottoms but they are cheap as hell. we asked the ref if we could let them shoot me and my brother to feel them and he said no :( but yeah not even worth buying for fun.

They shoot way farther then 10 feet demon. I have played several times with them and they are a blast. Come find me at CPX and we will gather some people together and go play on the hyperball field and then you can give your opinion again. I will be more than happy to let you try it.

i really would like to but i was only up there for the wedding i may stop by in a few weeks my dad was talking about it, i just wish my rental would not have blown a gauge on me 2nd game in, kept sending fragments of it into my face when i tried to shoot on what air was left :(

i wanted to get shot with them to feel the .50 at the low velocity but your ref stuck with the rules and said we couldn't which i was fine with and i respect that. from what i saw at the chrono range with a party of about 20 kids using them they just didn't shoot very far. for little kids getting into the sport they are great, but for you guys thinking you will use it against .68 for fun... well you'll be at more of a disadvantage than anyone else on the field guaranteed.

It's not meant to be used against .68 seriously. If you do it's like the people who play with just a nerf sword or whatever. It's for little kids to get a feel for pb without the pain of .68.

It will not mix in with 68 caliber. Completely different game and the way it is run. The shotguns can only hold 16 rounds anyways and does not have the range of 68 by any means.

Sorry about the gauge. Not much you can do about that one to be honest. I have never had that happen to me personally. Why were you using a rental and not your own? :)

If you ever need anything at CPX Sports, just ask for me and I will take care of it buddy! If you ever want to come out and try the JT Splatmaster, I will be there most weekends.

When I show kids when I have done a few demos out at the field, I shoot myself point blank in the hand. It stings that close up, but does not leave a welt or mark. They even have what is like a chest protector, but it is actually more like armor and gives a harder surface to break on, which is really cool.

my mother said that we couldn't bring our gear even though my dad and brothers wanted to. so instead of using my karnivor pro i ended up renting, jump suit and all for the first time in like 8 years lol

and yeah, the gauge thing happens, i wanted to walk up and get it in to the rental booth right away but i had to wait for the ref, it took me a bit to figure out the fragments hitting me in the face every time i shot were from my tanks gauge but i turned it in and told the kid there about the gauge and my marker not recocking fully after each shot.

i was super pleased that i was able to play though and that you had some LL5 gear left over, i was the one that got all the signed shirts from the youtube guys and yourself for my little brother and my dad must have left them somewhere, so i was atleast able to get him a headband and he got to play on bedlam and widowmaker.

just curious though, what is your BPS cap and firing mode rule? i watched a few renters get lit up by a guy on our team including my brother who had all his own gear in the renter group and me and my brother confronted him when the refs didn't and asked him if he was capped and he said "no i'm on semi auto" we kept asking him why he wasn't and his responce was "you're guns aren't capped buddy" we then pointed out we and everyone else had 98's except one other kid with an axe.

We only allow Semi-Auto for Private games and Open Play games. There is no cap on it.

We allow ramping and full auto only at Big Games and Scenarios and those have to be capped.

Bacause you have to point your gun at the sky whenever you reload. Just like you have to press your back flat against any kind of cover you may be using, and you have to lift your mask whenever you have something important to say, even if you are under fire from the other team.

Sheesh, what kind of paintball have you been playing?

Using a gun that's been hardly maintained and tossed from person to person more than a village whore is hardly a fair way to compare the marker.

Yeah, I wanna know!

When I was on their website last week, I believe it was $30 for the pistol and $40 for the shotgun. Paint was $20 for half a case.

What I want to know is whether the lenses on the goggles are also rated for paintball impacts. I usually make my sis wear full goggles when I test fire, but if the Splatmaster goggles will hold up to an accidental hit without blocking the rest of her face that'd be great to use instead.

The lenses are ATSM regulated, and comes with a Spectra style mask bottom and ears.
I would not recommend you use that, though. You're better off buying a cheap wal-mart mask since the mask doesn't even come with the gun.

Not bad actually. The first paintball gun I have ever had was one I got for my birthday and you blew into it like a dart gun. Haha its probably still in my basement somewhere. I think it's a great intro to the sport for younger kids that may not be old enough to play. You can even use this for training.
