They just posted pictures of the drive cone along with confirmed statements that it holds more paint then the Rotor or Prophecy but has a smaller profile and is reball ready!

Virtue has been saying that they will be coming out with a new product called the "spire" for about a month now. They just recently announced it will be a loader and put up a few very small teaser pictures.

One of the main features of our new Spire loader! The Spire Drive. The Spire Drive's Flex Cycle allows the Spire to feed even the most brittle paint and its spring loaded arms slide underneath and push jams out of the way before they occur.

Hoping they release full pics soon. So far, it looks pretty promising. Another super loader perhaps. I like Virtue, I really do.

Looks like it is going to be laid on its side to make it smaller, but thats just my guess... unless they made it look really large

Im guestimating that it is around 2-3" tall by comparing it to the finger next to it in the picture.

comparing it to the rotor, that drive system would need to be towards the back of the loader to accommodate the height. maybe the design has it sit very close or on top of the feed neck like the rotor to offset the height.

Nope they have released no info besides its a loader and the pics. Its virtue though some im expecting it to be pricey. Probably around the rotor and z2.

Just take the cone out?

Cleaning the shell would be simple.
The cone, not so much but it shouldn't be too hard.

Also from the pictures on Virtue it seems to look like a NXE JRNY and a Halo combined.

I am very concerned about the use of rubber. I would think that it leads to much more jams than "hard" but flexible plastic due to the stickiness of the rubber. I mean, we all remember how Virtue's rubber Rotor arm was trash and it caused more jams than the stock one. I hope this isn't another NXE JRNY.

i think that may be the battery tray. if thats the case, then the spire system probably have the motor built inside it.

and i like how they have the spire system sitting at the end of the hopper. this would allow the ball to drop into the system while shooting the gun/hopper in an elevated angle.

I've used the prototype Spire at a tournament and it worked flawlessly. It was used on a DM10, Cocker, Excalibur and a Bob Long Victory. It was all covered in camo tape so no one would know I was using it, since it was still a secret at that time. I can't answer all the tech questions about it but I can say it was working better than all the Rotors around me. The Rotors were all jamming, not just a couple of them, but 95% of them (including mine). We think it was from the small bore paint. The Spire didn't jam once, it worked on every gun without an issue. The best way I can describe it is when a ball would jam the spire would 'jump' up and over the problem ball and reset itself in proper position (hence the need for the 'Spire' part). The flip lid is a little different in angle of position, but worked fine. It did NOT have a crown on it. The shells came apart easily, and are similar to the Rotor and the entire unit was super easy to take apart and clean if needed. The tall 'Spire' piece does NOT sit under the flip lid, it's farther in and doesn't get in the way of anything, loading or otherwise. I myself plan on using one, due to the fact that it was problem free, for both myself and a team mate who tried it (We wanted to see how it did with his BL Victory). I like the Rotor, but honestly the Spire worked better at this event. Right now the MSRP is set under that of the DYE Rotor, just fyi.

That 'Headphone jack' is the end of the battery tray.

Why did it take so long to make a Shocker with the spring stock?

If its shorter then the nokio and holds more paint then the rotor and is cheaper and jams less they may have cornerd the market on hoppers.

At this point I don't even care any more. Virtue's dragging this out longer than they need to. It doesn't appear to be revolutionary in any special way that would make me drop any of my current loaders to buy one. I applaud them for their ability to keep everything secret and release info on their terms, but it's time to show the product.
