So lets talk bout motorcycles, I'm most likely going to have to get a 125 just because the insurance will be way to high with anything else. The 125 will be upgraded shortly after to a 600cc. Regardless the Honda CBR 125 is the most popular 125 out there. How do you think it looks? I find it looks a little bit to small, as in it looks like a walmart bicycle witha engine and some fairings

I like Honda CBRs of any displacement, but I find their riding position to be less than ideal. I prefer a bike that lets you sit more upright.

That 125 looks really small in that picture, though.

You can get them for about 1800 on craigslist and the insurance is similar to a scooter.

My fear is that I'm 6 '1 and that bike won't even support me XD, I think i might have to go with a bigger bike to start off with, I know that hyosung makes a 250 that uses a 600's frame so it's full sized...

Maybe I will buy it just to pass the road test then move on to a bigger bike... keep in mind this is next year so I'll still be growing

I'm still growing man. Most modern cars I can't even fit in because of how tall I am. Like, the seats aren't situated far enough back to where I can be comfy and stretched out. :(

I outgrew my dad at age 17 guiz. I'm 6' 1" apparently as my dad is 6' and I'm like 3/4th inch - 1 inch taller than him. My jeans are always loose around the waist (I'm skinny, okay) shirts always a bit big around the chest or short.

My dad threw a huge offer at me for my next car I'm a bit flabbergasted on why he would do that. I could have a new-ish 2009 Civic Si and have to attend Community College for 2 years while getting paid a couple hundred a month to stay at home, OR I could buy a nice Prelude and attend University my 1st 2 years of college and have his financial help on my room and board (but not my tuition)... Money with us is tight as it is. I'm trying to think of what I can do. I want the Civic Si, but I don't want it.... It's a tough decision.

a car is a car is a car is a car. You education is your life, if you choose wrong it's gonna effect you more then anything a car would (besides an accident... morgan dont you dare say anything)

university isnt for everyone, Im one of them. You've got some thinking to do and it's not really for some random person over the internet to choose for you.

I was just throwing it out there to strike up a conversation and see what anyone's opinion is on it. I'm going to University either first, or second after Community College. I still have time to decide. My dad is just rushing me to make a decision since I need a new car before school starts. That's my dilemma. I'm just seeing if I can get any input that may help me make my final decision, but I'm not going to let some stranger on the internet make the final decision.

It's becoming a stress bomb as I have other things I need to be thinking about as well.

I LOVED my 2009 Civic Si but...

I would take a crappy car and regular college over a nice car and community college anyday. Without a second thought. The time I spent at Purdue was the best time of my life. The year I spent at a local extension campus was fairly weak.

You have plenty of time to get better cars after college. Your window to experience college is oh-so-finite. If college is what you need for your career plans, then go to college. Don't pussyfoot around.

Silly goose.

But anyways, I'm probably not even getting a Honda... Why? Most of them are FWD, and their RWD platforms are too expensive/convertible. (My dad would prefer me not to get a convertible) As I have recently picked up an interest in drifting, I would like to learn on a RWD platform.

Don't get me wrong, I love the S2000 and the NSX. You just can't find them for a good price that justifies what I'm looking for.

Goddamn I want a motorcycle. I love the looks of the old Honda 929 or it's newer replacement that I don't know the name of. Even a 70s or 80s UJM would do. Sadly, you can't put a baby seat on one, so that rules one out for the next few years.
