My son just purchased a used Azodin Kaos Pump for cheap, now we see why. It's shoot OK for three or four shots, then it looses most of it's velocity for a couple shoots, then poops out completely...then after sitting a few minutes it shoot OK for a few shots then the cycle starts again? Bad regulator? Your help will be appreciated.

it shoots fine, then stops, what kind of air input are you using?

Viagra, lubricant, and pornographic movies? If that package arrived at my house, I'd be calling a babysitter and making reservations at the Marriott

Check the regulator
If that's not it then I suggest just breaking down the entire marker and cleaning/inspecting each part.

how much time are you giving between shots? If it's very rapid it may be the valve. Try shooting, waiting 5 or so seconds, shooting, waiting, shooting etc etc. If that works you may need to replace the valve.

HPA, a 45/4500 tank with a Ninja Regulator. This is the same tank he uses on his ETEK w/o problems, so it is not the air source.

If we wait a few minutes it works, sometimes...

I suggest talking to Azodin's customer service, they'll be able to set you straight.

That being said, this does sound a bit like a valve or reg problem.... Still, I would contact Azodin.

I show up at a field that I never been to before for some rec-play wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt....carrying a old mech Spyder and two pringle potato chip cans for pods shoved in the pants pockets. The stares are priceless and after the first game or so you get to see the grins from the ref and players who know....priceless.

Swap in parts from the Etek to narrow it down. I'd unscrew the reg/grip from the vertical ASA, and replace it with the reg from his Etek (I think they use the same threading). Try shooting that arrangement. If the problem goes away, then you don't have to worry about the valve, springs, or any other parts internal to the gun. If it persists, you know the problem is inside the gun's body. (Note that the Etek and Kaos operate at different pressures, so you'll need to adjust the Etek reg accordingly.) Obviously, if the Etek's reg is threaded differently, this won't work.

I think that is some GOOD advice, I will call them this morning.

Update - called Azodin customer service, spoke to Sergio in their technical department, he listened to what I said, diagnosed it as a regulator problem; either out of adjustment or broken. He gave me some instructions on how to adjust it, said if that did not work to send it in and they would fix it and send it back, at no charge.

Ends up the regulator was way out of adjustment, seems to be working fine now.

While Azodin may sell lower end, beginner markers, I have to say, I am very impressed with their customer service and response to a customer problem...High-end service!

They have pretty shoddy quality control in their electro department but both versions of the kaos are really nice guns and I agree, they do have amazing cs. One of my top 5 favorite companies cs wise.
