I'm looking to buy a new mechanical gun and not sure which is best for me. I want a mech gun because electric guns have too many problems for me and i don't shoot very fast when im playing anyway

Things gun must have in order of priority:

-Mechanical
-Easy maintenance
-gun that is known to have little problems
-does not chop

Budget $130

Tippmann 98 with ACT. The Kaos is nice because it's centerfeed, but I've had kids at school bring me broken ones. The ones I've seen at my local field shred paint too. You have to be brain dead to mess up a Tippmann, and they have some of the best CS so if something DOES happen they can help you out.

automag, light, simple as fuck, and reliable.

And electros don't have problems, they are generaly just as simple, and easier to take apart.

This. If you get an automag, you put it together, and you never have to take it apart. if it ever leaks, put some oil in the ASA, air it up, cycle it and it should be fixed.

My vote is also for an automag. Get one with the classic valve and level 7 bolt and you will never have to worry about a thing except for routine maintenance. Sure it will have a powerfeed instead of your typical vertical feed, but they can be had easily for $100.

Tippmann 98.

Mechanical- yes
Easy maintnence - doesnt need maintnence ever. Besides every 10000 rounds you may want to replace the back cap.
Gun that is known to have little problems- you can shove mud in it, play in the rain, drop down a hill, and it will keep performing great.
Doesn't chop- haven't had a chop ever.
I love mine my number 1 suggestion to begginers.

Buy a broken Ion for $30-40, then get a mech kit for it. You get the awesome shot qualities of an Ion without the hassle of batteries or eyes. The Ion has to be mechanically sound though, so just the electronics can be bad/non-existent.

Mags are bullet proof. Tough to beat. A drop of pb oil every week or 3 and seals once every 2-3 years. You can get a good 1 on Ebay for 70-80 bucks.

To everyone saying tippmanns, mags, azodins, etc. they all have at least 1 o ring that needs to be replaced especially tippmanns I see them shred bolt o rings all the time. It's an easy fix but that shows its not indestructible.

If you want a mech just get a Spyder Xtra or if you plan to keep it forever an Azodin Kaos D

My tippmann only did that when I accidentally put too much oil on it and made it swell just a tiny little bit.
Maybe not indestructible, but is pretty damn good at holding itself together with little to no problem.

To the OP, do you have a good mask and tank yet???

I'm sure an automag will easily outlast an Azodin.

Anyway, a mag with a level 10 bolt will be perfect for you. Very reliable, easy to fix, and will not chop with a properly tuned bolt.

Plus, they're incredibly upgradable and can be made into some serious sex/death machines.

Bolt o-rings? I don't recall any bolt o-rings being crucial to the function. Perhaps you're referring to the hammer/striker o-rings?
