If you want good cheap imports hondas pretty good. Ford probes also are comparable with civics as are nissan 240s. I believe the 240 is more customizable with aftermarket support then honda then ford. 240s are really neat in the fact they are rear wheel drive and can have a small block v8 put in them with out much modification. But there are many many options as far as cars or even good trucks in that price range.

Honda/Acura anything. They're reliable when you do normal maintenance, and if you get the right model and year, you can also have a fast car. ;) Parts are also pretty cheap. But for the love of god, DON'T put a body kit on it. Keep the sleeper look.

I'm 6' 1" and I can fit inside the Acura Integra, and Honda Civic Si (2006 - Recent) pretty well. So if you're shorter than me, I don't see why you wouldn't fit, unless you're morbidly obese or something. Which I doubt since you play paintball...

Stop worrying about how you look, and start worrying about how you play. Get out on the field and play paintball the best you can, not stand at home in front of a mirror trying to figure out if your jersey matches your eyes.

Subaru 2.5rs.

Its very practical, Even the 2 door has rear seats that can fit people. Also has a nice trunk. 4 wheel drive for winter is great as well. Also great fun to drive with a fair amount of aftermarket support.

Plus i think they look pretty good, even stock

Also in the 4k range you could get a good camero such as the iroc or z28 just be prepaired to avoid the high output 305s. Mazda rx7 are in that price range aswell which are pretty cool with the rotory motor, good on gas and a very high rpm engine. Comes turboed and pretty dependable. Also they are rwd.

Well each to their own redcobra but that's kinda like buying the paintball marker befor the hopper and air tank. Bauzer honestly being that tall id say buy a truck like a diesel. Great milage, easy to work on, tons of power, and way more room. By great milage i m talkin 18 to 20+. Even 4wd trucks pluse they last 300,000 miles and up if maintained.

Although my buddy is 6 3 and he has a mitsubishi eclips and he fits in that but no one can sit behind him. The down side mitsu uses dodge/chrysler parts which are not very good so they require more work.

I'm extremely biased but go with a subaru. They don't die and they are good on snow and dirt roads with mud. I use to have a 96 legacy with 350,000 miles on it till I sold it for a security deposit for a new place to live. The only problem it had was the 420 code (O2 sensor that never clears but everything is actually working fine). It started up everyday for work on the base of mount Washington everyday for work and it brought me up the side of a mountain for work everyday as well.

This. I love Subaru. If this is your first car Im assuming you are younger, and male, so your insurance will be high anyway. Plus the flat 4 has such a better noise than a civic, exhaust on a civic just sounds horrible

Holy shit, that much? I drive a Cavalier (solid car by the way) and pay $1300 a year.

But I agree with Subaru. One of my roommates works at a Subaru dealership a couple blocks over and I've rode in just about everything they have to offer. They're solid machines.

Check another insurance company for a quote. I have four infractions, three speeding and one minor moving violation of failure to dim and I only pay 1,200 a year and I'm only 20. Thats for the 06 impreza I own as well. This is also with no SR22 filed as well.

also, try to fiddle with the options for the insurance. If i were you, i would not get collision insurance. It is your first car, so its not going to be great quality. So if you dent it, scratch it, whatever, because its older, theres no sense in paying a ton of extra for those repairs because the car is a lot older

if you want dirt cheap gas mileage, try a smart car (gets the job done). Other than that a subaru, honda civic are great cars.

Look at an early 90's GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado. Beat the piss out of our families old one and it worked great till something fuel related went out. So I bought one for me. And gas mileage isn't horrible, my 5.7 gets like 19 mpg and insurance isn't pricy.

-06 or 07 Dodge Chargers are amazing V8 sedans
-1998 BMW 4 door 325i's can be found for under 3000 grand but are expensive to repair
-Your safest bet though would be a Subaru WRX/Impreza or a Volkswagen Passat (I am purchasing one of these soon as well)

An amazing car is a Porsche 912

No no no stay away from anything 2 door and sporty, insurance will rape you.

All I can say is stay away from Saturns there built like shit

never herd someone say that. i put 200k miles on a 96 SL1 five speed. it destroyed a Buick in a crash, and killed a deer, and kept on running.

i have literally never herd a bad thing about saturn reliability.

my new recommendation for a fun, small, and practical, is Ford SVT focus. my brother just bought one, and i must admit, its excellent.
The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."

There's an '85 sitting in the "lemon lot" here on base for $2500. I've been thinking of picking it up, but it's a 5spd manny, and since I don't know how to drive a manny, I have a feeling I would burn the hell out of the clutch.

I learned how to drive stick on a Toyota Helix in Afghanistan, driving around base....definitely burnt that clutch out on the first truck xD.

If you are looking at trucks, look at 05 Tacoma's. Nice body style. big enough to haul, but still gets decent gas mileage (my buddy gets 20-23 out of his), and you can do a lot with em, customization wise if you are into car interior work. I am about to buy my buddies, brand new suspension, new head unit, all wired up for sound, custom seats etc., because he found a Denali he is going to buy, so I am gettin his Tacoma for a hair over 10 grand...
