As I deprive myself of sleep, I can only tire myself by doing a small write-up for the sake of boredom and my thoughts racing.

Chivalry, Honor, Integrity, The words are pretty common, but it seems nowadays they go unnoticed. Yes, every once in awhile you will write up how great a person was treated by another individual, but it seems that for every good thing there are ten other terrible stories that follow afterwards. I think this may have a connection with my last rant about how people are not very confrontational. They like to use phrases like, "No offense" or "I don't mean to be rude" to soften what they need to say. And I admit that It's really fucking easy to be blunt over the internet then it is to do up close in person. We hide behind words without tone or inflection. There is no facial cues and tics that tell you that something is wrong. It's just cold language.

I have Difficulty standing up for myself and what I believe in because I was taught two conflicting messages. "Get along with everyone" and "Stand up for what you believe in." Both of these lesson are terrible to balance and find the equilibrium. Falling into the role of an aggressive jerk or a doormat for people to wipe dog shit all over you and thing nothing of it. When the people who are taken advantage of feel wronged they just bottle it up. From this I find that people will go onto the forums, write up a rant about the problem, and not do anything about it somteimes. They will just say what they want to do like, "Yea, I'm gunna fuck that kid up." or "Well, next time I'm going to do something about it." I doubt that people really follow up on what they say, and brush it off when they see something wrong. Afterwards the same person is thinking, "Uh... Next time, I'll nail him for it!"

What happened? Is it in relation of the whole, "Don't be a snitch!" attitude? Doesn't that just ruin it for ourselves? Don't we in the end punish the people who do right by letting those who do wrong pass off with just a slap on the wrist? Hoping that they do not commit the same offense because we were not strong enough to stand up and just say no?

I know life is rough, but we do ourselves a disservice when we start lowering our standards and making excuses because we are too afraid.

FIRST

The trick is to always speak your mind but with some discretion.
When you Tell someone something make it count.
If i tell someone something insulting i never say " no offense" , i make the statement funny but clear. I make sure the comedy takes away the awkwardness/anger at the moment but when the person walks away they really think about I said.

Edit: can i have the first?

Well of course Chivalry is gone, girls don't want it anymore. Look around you, do girls today want to be waited on hand and foot? Do they want to be treated like goddesses? Do they to be respected? Most will say yes. However, in reality, they don't. They go for the guys who will use and abuse them, and then move onto the next girl. And then when he has moved onto the next girl, they go crawling back to him, begging and pleading him to take them back. And then he just uses and abuses them, and then moves onto the next girl. I really don't understand it. They'll claim all day that they want to be respected, loved, put up on a pedestal and admired by all. But then they keep chasing after the assholes who only want their bodies, and don't care about treating them right.

Instead of trying to balance Standing up for what you Believe in, and Getting along with everyone.

Say "Fuck it"

Get along with those you stand up for what they think is right, regardless if their views contradict yours.

And not the guys who just whine about problems, people who do something about.

Me and a couple of my good friends (we are all very mature when we discuss) disscused this just the other day and we were all  by the time we got done.

Also if you think about it, half the time a guy is sweet and careing some asshole goes "dude are you *banmeplzktx*" (no offense to anyone, i dont hate or discriminate) so the poor guy has to act like a dick just so he wont be ridiculed anymore. It really pisses me off because girls cry over not finding a good guy but then either friend zone the good guy or run after some dick who wil use and abuse.

Why respect women when they wont respect themselves? You have to give it to get it. As a married man I can tell you 95% of the chicks on my facebook wall deserve to be back handed by their father for some of the shit they post and say. We all act like we love the post and pictures because lets face it there are hot chicks posting half naked pictures of themselves. I open the door for people, tip well, and would like to think I treat people in general with respect. That being said I get almost no respect in return from 75% of people I interact with so im not surprised...

Honestly in this situation you need to realize people who can but do not help themselves do not need help, and other people do not deserve any help or respect whatsoever.

Chivalry is something you can apply to a woman who is already very important to you like a steady gf/fiance/wife - with anyone else, it'll usually be, at best, a waste of your time and, at worst, counter-productive.

Save it for someone who has proven that they deserve it.

I like to pride myself that I am almost always respectful towards women and been chivalrous toward them. I do consider chivalry dead, but it's because I don't see anyone try to be pleasant with other people. TK is right though, they want the bad boy who treats them right which almost never happens.

What TK said is true. Very, very true. But if you're having trouble with trying to get a girl attracted to you, try making it seem like you have a lot of other girls after you. Like you're a very desirable man. These douchebags are masters of it without trying to be/knowing it. It's like a competition for women. They all want the guy every girl is going after because every girl wants him, and because for some reason, every girl wants him.

The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."

It's pretty much dead and women killed it, but I still use the principles and treat certain women like this - and it's worked god damn well for me in my life.

Then again, I've grown up in a higher social class, and the women were different - perhaps more of an expectation to be a man rather than a boy.
