Alright, so I was one day randomly looking at a GIF of the ego firing, and I thought hey, the back part of the ram is completely sealed off from the poppet. My idea is to instead of using the air from your tank, couldn't you just use water that you've prefilled? This would increases efficiency(marginally, but still an increase). Of course, it would require a special noid, but I just thought it might be an interesting idea for you guys to think about. Of course this wouldn't work at all for spools, but I'm only talking about Intimidator style poppets here.

I think it would be more trouble than it was worth. It may work, but probably not well.

Using a gun that's been hardly maintained and tossed from person to person more than a village whore is hardly a fair way to compare the marker.

OP watch this video

pretty much shows that it will barely change the efficiency if any

That was an informative video, thanks for posting it!

So the hydro gun is a no-go, unless somebody wants a really overcomplicated gun. :P

Also, water is not compressible, and has a much higher viscosity than air, so you would have to put a lot more effort into the system.

Water is compressible albeit only at incredibly high pressure almost unheard of in anything except big industry. But it is compressible.

-sigh-

I'm well aware of that fact, but for all intents and purposes, water is virtually incompressible. Especially since we're talking about it in the context of using it in a paintball gun, though I'm sure we're all very happy that you have bestowed that knowledge on us.

Gladly ;)

Honestly that's just one of the things that bugs the hell out me I apologize.
