U found an open class phantom on ebay for $150. Are phantoms good for open class? Or are they better when they stay stock class? Thanks for any replies! (Im new to pump play also)

Phantoms are unique that you can change the body over to whatever you want.

ive kept mine stock class. But you can make them open. They are so durable and so simple they would make a great open class.
im pretty sure they sell different body types too. Phantoms are very versatile

Any hopper over 100rnd will put a strain on the phantom feedneck.

Word of advice, skip the GxG hopper. That thing is a piece of garbage.

If you can find them, the old brass eagle clear ones that came with the "Blade" they sold at walmart, when i find them i pay about 50 cents and they last forever.

Those are the BE Pocket hoppers that the GxG hopper is a clone of, they are specifically recommended against for poor feeding and durability.

Personally I'm switching over to a sniper (yep, the empire sniper because I'm a fanboy) for oc rather than fully convert my phantom to do oc.

Most snipers will be smoother stroke than a phantom, and can handle the stress of a revvi or other 150+ ball hopper. Not only that but a rainman uc kit runs for $60+ if the phantom you want doesn't have one
