It's uglier than the JT Impulse at a similar price.

Am I the only person that like the vanquish? I love how simple it is to tear apart, and the features and thought that went into it are great. A bit expensive, but I always buy used anyway so that's not a concern too me. I'd shoot one anyday.

Wow what complete crap. IMHO of course. They copied off everyone in paintball, stole others companies technologies (the same companies they force to pay them royalties), and they still managed totally mess it up.And that gun is costing KEE about $250 to make, and they MSRP it for $1500. Yep they sure are looking out for the average players. Posted Image

Substantiate your claims before throwing out big statements like that. What technologies are you claiming that they stole? I also had no idea you were such an expert on Empire's production figures. Please elaborate on how the Vanquish costs 250 dollars to make.

I'm not sure where you came up with Empire "stealing" from everybody. I also do not recall Empire saying they were "looking out for the average players" when they released this. It seems to me that they were looking out for high-level players who need an all-out performance marker, where looks don't matter as much but performance is everything. If you want that claim to be taken seriously, prove it. But, if you refuse to do so like you already did:

Not going to get into a n00b battle, so just ask around...

Then you have no credibility. I apologize for Empire not designing a gun just to please you. Let the "n00b battle" commence.

I'll be honest: I haven't kept up well with the Vanquish, Impulse, or LV1.

At a first look, I'm not a huge fan of this marker. I feel like the design on the foregrip makes it look cheap. Just by looks, I don't really like it. It could shoot amazing though, and my opinion could change. I mentioned with the Impulse that Empire is entering price territory that is held by well-established marker lines (DM series, Luxe, Geo, etc.), so this could be risky if it doesn't show itself to be well worth the money. At first glance, I'm not crazy about any of these markers.

Both guns with transducers that have come out at the same time (what a coincidence) both got that technology from TAS.

The bolt is the same as a LUX, and that's due to the SP patents (it wasn't originally designed that way).

And every single gun manufacturer and board house pays KEE. That's how they stay profitable with such low margins on their items, it's not by "innovating" anything new. Their legal department is larger then their R&D department.

Don't get why that makes this a bad gun. It has cool features and uses the same bolt system as a couple other guns. Big whoop like others said they have the patents. They never claimed to be making some new cool bolt system pretty much every body knew it was gonna be luxe like. Its all the other shit that IMO makes this gun cool.

sounds like someone gives wayyy too much of a fuck about all this.
you should realize by now that most industries see a convergence in technology after years and years of innovation. it all starts to blend together.
thats why buying/selling patents, charging royalties, etc. is all part of the game. its business. get over it.

A good example of another company that does this on a much larger scale is Nokia. I think last time I heard they made 50% of yearly earnings from their patents.

LOL I have felt one to the very least. Very...sturdy. And the Trigger felt nice, which to me was no surprise. Imagine it as an S style trigger, just with places to actually put your fingers in.

Yeah the gun it's self I think is good I love the one tool and that all the screws are the same the brake apart the barrel kit it's just the way there coloring it is my problem to big of strate color. Great gun with poor coloring. I'm on the line of this a vapor or a luxe. If the luxe have a talking oled board there would be no question.

And a full freak kit would be nice for the luxe. For $1500 thay could put a couple more inserts in there

The patents responsible for this gun came from Smart Parts. DLX was an offshoot from Smart Parts to remake the Shocker into a true high-end gun, and they are most likely paying Kee to continue to manufacture the Luxe. The Vanquish is essentially using the same design as the Luxe, just in a differently designed body.

Doesn't the Shocker Eigenbolt incorporate a QEV?

Q: Isn’t the Vanquish just a Luxe copy?

A: Both guns work on a similar Balanced Spool Valve but there are 2 key differences that allow the Vanquish to perform at a higher level. One is the Vanquish Quick Exhaust port in the rear of the bolt which increases cycle speed and efficiency making the Vanquish more air efficient than a Luxe. The other difference is the solenoid. The Vanquish uses a faster switching, lower flow solenoid than a Luxe meaning the Vanquish bolt reacts more quickly to an electronic signal but also moves more slowly. The result is a smoother shot with less kick that is gentler on paint than a Luxe while still maintaining the same rate of fire. Additional features that set the Vanquish apart from the Luxe are the OLED Display, the industry changing electronic pressure sensor technology and the single size hex key design.

The Eigenbolt has some small holes on the back of the bolt itself. They are just exhaust holes that vent the air holding the bolt forward right when it reaches the forward stroke, so that when the solenoid switches, it doesn't have to wait for the air to vent. The Vanquish appears to have more of a traditional QEV, which facilitates the exhaust of the air from the back of the bolt once it starts to retract due to the solenoid switching.

Basically, the Eigenbolt QEVs are mechanically timed via the bolt's movement, and the Vanquish QEVs are still timed by waiting for the solenoid.
