you should get 3 SLG UL's.
Gerber, Surefire, TOPS, and Cold Steel all suck the big one. Buy quality products, not junk. :-)

If it was me, I'd go with the EGO8.

But that's just me.

You have a lot of choice with that budget. Everyones gonna tell you differently, so go with what you like best.

Personally I'd go with something from bob long.
Smart Parts SP1 Empire 08 Contact pants
Smart Parts Epiphany Eclipse 07 Hurricanes jersey
Draxxus Pulse Empire 08 Contact gloves

I have an Ego 08 and it shoots great, but if you have $900 and want something new then get a Rev-i. That will be the newest tournament ready gun.

If you don't mind used you can get most new markers for $900 cash.

If you don't have a tank or good hopper then you really only have between $700-600 to spend.

Get a vice. It is $750 so then you can get a new tank or hopper too.

Go to your local shop and hold any of the guns that interest you. If you see someone at your local field with a gun you think you are interested in, ask if you can shoot a couple shots.

Personally I would also go with an 08 ego

If that is all the money you have, you could get a protege or something else decent in the 600 ish area, and get a pinokio or rotor or prophecy (whatever you prefer) and a nice $150 tank, which would add up to your 900 dollars perfectly. You just have to remember that after you buy a high end marker, you need nice, usually expensive other gear to extract its full potential. If you already have a nice loader or a nice tank, though, you can get a vice and spend the rest on the loader/tank that you don't have.

Good thinking, there was just a price drop on the e-tek you might want to look at that. :)

i already have a pinokio and a 68/4500 and is the vice better than the closer? and is the rev-i worth the money how much more special is it than like an ego 8 or something like that the only unique thing is the trigger thing right
also does the marq 6 still cut it ? cuz i guess i could put a proficiency in that and it would be kinda like a closer but cheaper right???

I have a marq rapper and I love it! Just make sure you have lpr hole milled on the trigger frame because it is a pain in the ass without one...

I can up it and it can perform as good as a closer or a Russian Legion Marq! only difference is milling...

Go for the Revi, its really good

Have you shot the Rev-i? because its not out yet.

I own a Vice and I own a Marq6.

Vice-
Efficient,
fairly smooth shooting,
Light,
Easy to maintain,
Nice trigger,
Smooth milling,
Pillow bolt(if its cold),
Stacked tube poppet,
About $550 used CAD.

Marq6
Pretty efficient,
smooth shooting,
heavier then a vice but not bad,
Easy to maintain,
Awesome trigger,
Simple milling,(I prefer the simplicity, just me)
In-line poppet,
Doesn't come with a pillow bolt
Can Find used for about $420 CAD.

Both Markers are 4C eyes compatible, you can buy a pillow bolt for a marq, you can purchase an LPR tester for either gun.

Essentially...
Vice is lighter, more efficient, prettier and more expensive then the marq.
Marq is a smoother shooter, a bit heavier, less efficient, less expensive and I personally like the trigger on my marq more.

I have an Ego8 and I love the thing. Shoots and feels great. I can't really speak for the vice, rev-i, or marq, being that I haven't gotten the chance to shoot them.

^^^ Everyone has been a little fuzzy on the pricing details, and other details that are not mentioned on the site. I'd estimate around 1200-1400 dollars.

It does look really cool, though, I agree. Pretty fancy, too with the iPod chargers and the fancy battery and color screen.
