I think this might be the first ever 2009 Spyder Electra spimmy! I've never seen one before.
So I'm thinking more and more about this and I think I'm gonna do it this time. I owned a 2k2 timmy one time before and I loved the shot quality and how it felt. Though I hated how heavy it was and how big it felt. So I got rid of it. BIG MISTAKE, I put a noid, a board, hoses, a ram, a ram cap, a front block and a new bolt into that baby.... Should have kept it.
I love making things and during a two day power outage that ended today (fuck you sandy) I started brainstorming. I had an extra cocker LPR lying around and I got to thinking:
+Nerf gun autococker ( og my god how I wish..)
Now the ONLY reason I decided on the spimmy was because I figured that any nerf gun would have too long of a cocking length and would probably tear itself to pieces moving that fast....because that would be fucking cool and you know it.
My plan is to build a spimmy without buying a timmy front block, because I already have an autococker LPR and I want to make this super cheap.
First off I obviously need to find a spyder to mod. I currently own an '09 spyder pilot. Unfortunately Kingman made the '09 pilot shorter and smaller. So the slot on a timmy ram sleeve no longer lines up and it won't fit into the bottom tube anymore. It also lacks a front block as Kingman took the elegant route and went with a front plug and a vertical Adapter instead of a front block. Though this isn't really THAT much of an issue So my dreams of a 2009 pilot spimmy were crushed. I've always liked how the old spyder Pilot ACS guns looked, especially with that barrel thats milled to hell. (looks awesome IMO) I'm aiming to find one of those with the original barrel, but if you have any suggestion for one that looks better My ears are open to suggestions.
Then I need all the other parts...
+poppit and cup seal
+hoses and barbs
+timmy bolt (I believe this has to be a 2k2 bolt to fit but I'd have to check again)
I'm gonna set myself a goal of $100 for all the parts. Yes I'm aware this is ambitious. Though I think I can pull it off. Honestly the hardest thing to find is going to be a spyder body that I like lol.
So I realized that buying a 2k2 timmy is cheaper than buying all the parts, so I'm currently on a hunt for the cheapest functioning 2k2 ever made If anyone is looking for a body I'm going to be selling that once this is all said and done.
I'm kind of excited about this and I plan to document it all here:)
leave your thoughts!
