I have a new drone dx and a ninja 68 4500. I have heard a lot of different tank output pressures being used. My ninja tank is adjustable and it is on its highest setting right now. i think the high pressure setting is around 800 psi.

Since i don't want to destroy the drone, will it hurt to lower the output pressure to 600 psi by removing the shims?

Do i even need to lower the pressure or is 800 psi perfectly fine for the drone dx?

I am a bit uncomfortable taking my tank apart so what are the risks of taking it apart to adjust its output pressure?

Is there anything i have to be careful with when taking the bonnet of and removing shims?

I have also heard claims that it is better to break the drone in with a lowed pressure setting. Is this true?

I just want to have it so that when i play, i won't have any leaks from my gun as a result of a wrong pressure setting. Performance isn't the #1 thing on my mind YET.

It will not matter what the pressure is from the tank. The Drone's regulator is more than capable of regulating any range of standard output pressures from the tank. I'd just leave your tank as it is now and not worry about it.

nothing will break if you keep the pressure at 800. However, you will get a slight efficiency increase if you drop the pressure.

if you are uncomftorable doing it, just leave as is.

Doubt it.

There is no mandatory pressure for use in a macdev marker unlike say boblong. Stick to whatever pressure your tank outputs stock.

That said, there have been people who claim their macdev marker works best at 450-550 psi but lack substantial evidence to verify it completely.

unless your tank is a SHP then it won't really matter

You heard that it has problems breaking in with higher pressure output tanks? Well, that's just not true. 1) It won't break in any differently, and 2) any break in that the gun may experience should come very quickly (within the first bag of paint).
