It's worth it, it can't let paint out, but it flows in quite nice.

thats why I want it, was waiting for the epic to come out for it but I'm so used to having a speed feed that when i go to pod up i keep trying to load into a closed lid -_- then sit and rage behind my bunker at how stupid I was. this is probably the longest period of time that I have had a lid on any one of my hoppers even my Halo had a speedfeed on it the day i bought it.

Lol. That's why I bought the speed feed with mine, got used to one on my rotor and was like no way I'm playing with a lid.

They need to add the virtue clock on it... That abuot the only upgrade i can se that can be made to it. Dont own a spirer yet, but i have used it a bit with dirty dirty reballs, and it worked like a champ

would have done that but didnt have the extra cash to get the speedfeed at teh same time plus was originally waiting for the epic.

First impressions:

After playing around with the spire today att the field i have gotten a feel for it. It feed super consistent, never skipped a beat before i got down to the last few balls. I had some issue with popcorning but I imagine that can be fix by adjusting the sensetivity.

In short:

personally I like the spire I like the true 200 load, and the lower profile, though i dont like how short the feed neck is (or feels on my marker) i also had to crank my feedneck lever insanely tight becuase of the thinner neck. all in all I can say that i would recomend this hopper to anyone though i wish they would come out with an updated tray with more slope.

this is just my theory... but more slope = less capacity. :(

Anybody had to change their settings on their spire yet? Ballstack sensitivity on mine isn't right apparently because when i dump in paint it just keeps ticking around instead of recognizing a full hopper and stopping... Anybody else have this problem at all?

i had to change my g force sensitivity to 4 instead of 3 on my etek 3. i dont know why so dont ask. its most likely your drive pressure. if its doing what you said then you need to lower it to maybe 1 because 2 is stock setting.

I posted awhile back about my Spire doing the continuous "ticking" around even when it was full of paint... Just got to fully test it out again this past Saturday and found out a 2 part solution: 1) Good batteries, apparently store brand batteries just wont cut it in a Spire sometimes. And 2) i adjusted the drive pressure (yellow setting) down to 1 and it now works like a CHAMP! Every other hopper is inferior to our majestic Spire's!

Had the same problem last sunday, fresh new batteries and then it worked like a champ. Still feels like it spinning more than necessary at times, might have to fiddle with the settings a bit.

My new setup with a 68/4500 and a spire feels soooooo much better than what i used to have, which was a 48/3000 steelie and a Vlocity eye-force. And reloading with a speedfeed (not the SF) worked surprisingly well.
