this is nothing new, but it pisses me off when i see "qualifies for free shipping!" under an item, then i'm like "Oh boy, I won't have to pay the shipping, which is gonna come out to be half the price of the thing i'm buying!"

Then I remember, that's right, i have to have an order for over $100 worth of stuff, and it all has to qualify for free shipping, for me to get the "free" shipping

They could at least just tell me I have to pay for shipping, instead of writing "THIS ITEM QUALIFIES FOR FREE SHIPPING!!!!"

It's a little misleading.

But seriously, tell me you wouldn't be pissed off if you bought something for $20 but the shipping brought it up to $30. I'm not made of money, I had a job over the summer and now I'm trying to save as much of that as I can. It's especially hard during the holiday season, when you need to buy gifts for everyone.

If you think shipping is expensive then you should understand why they can't give it away free on everything.

What I think ANSgear means by "Qualifies for free shipping" is that the item in question is something that they would be willing to ship for free if the ORDER qualifies for free shipping.

Let's say you order a something from them the size of a car. Granted, they don't sell anything that large, but shipping a car costs hundreds of dollars, if not more, so they would not be willing to ship an order for free if the cost of shipping is more than the profit they will make on an item.

ANSgear has a business to run. They can't be willing to drop 10 bucks or more for every order out-of-pocket, that just won't end well. So what do they do? They'll offer free shipping on orders over 100 dollars to get you buy more from them, and then they have enough of a profit margin to throw in free shipping, and you might come back to them because they'll cover shipping. They sell more, you don't pay shipping, everybody wins.

You have to remember that ANSgear isn't run by magic paintball hamsters, they are people who need to pay bills just like us.

Just be happy they at least offer free ship for orders of only $100. I've bought shit online much more expensive than that and got a nice shipping fee with it.

Pretty much all other places use WAYYY cheaper sipping methods than ansgear.I believe shipping is so expensive because they use a certain size box for EVERYTHING that will fit in that box(detents, swabs, allen keys, lube, etc.)unlike other companies who use a larger variety of boxes.(not trying to trash ansgear, just saying)

It says right on their home page: free shipping on orders OVER $100

Nothing is forcing you to play paintball, and if you are tight on money, quit for a while. Buy the piece from a proshop, then you won't have to pay shipping. Or get a job year round and quit complaining.

Did you know that the more a company uses shipping, specially in larger batches they can/could actually get hefty discounts at the shipper. a 12 LBS package is really only like 35 shipped internationally. Which makes me wonder where they are pulling the 50-70 dollars from for shipping from.

But then again, there isn't much you can do about it and I don't order from ansgear anyway haha.
