Would a a5/x7 freak back fit into a tipx with the barrel shroud removed?

Is there any foreseeable problems using a tipx without a shroud?

Any TiPX operators? or even ex-operators?

The barrel shroud is just that, a shroud. You shouldn't have issues with it operating but you can run the risk of debris getting down into the rest of the marker since the shroud covers up the opening of the two clam shell halves. I think most Freak backs have a 1" OD and the shroud is a 7/8" ID. One option you have is you can do like I have on mine is get the stock barrel freak bored.

I guess you could use some expoxy on both clam shells to build up to the barrel and that could work for you. Of course you could always just use some kleenex to block it. Bonus would be to pull an individual tissue out for when someone is crying about you getting them out with only a pistol. :D

Unless I bore that 1/8" more on the shroud, I wonder how quick it would break then
