When it comes to scenario type games it seems that the riot shield gets left out.....I've only seen maybe 3 videos on youtube with someone actually using a riot shield.

Im assuming that perhaps it's not as practical as it may seeM? I mean, im sure most parks wouldnt allow them but I doubt I'll have a problem using the one I just bought myself for Christmas for my private party this Sat.

I'll post pics and have videos up on my youtube channel as well!

I ended up going with this one.....

I think quite a few fields actually do allow them, but they aren't very convenient and doesn't offer as much protection as you would think. There's no denying how fun they are, though.

I know what you mean about the protection part. Although it's a good length I cant picture myself moving very fast without having my legs exposed. I might have to try it out tomorrow (off for New Years Day) to see if I'll be able to run with the pump or just stick to the pistol. Should make for awesome videos.....least the first few, before the paint is all smeared...

I would suggest the pistol considering you can operate it with one hand. Don't get me wrong, they are fun to use, but don't expect to be unstoppable or anything like that.

I'm curious... even if this is used effectively and you fulfill your purpose, I can't imagine it taking very long to completely cover it in paint and being impossible to see? I mean ya you can wipe down when things slow down, but if you're actively trying to move up on a bunch of people and getting shot at, how far can you get before not being able to see where you're going?

We shall find out! I'm going in blind with this thing. Haven't even ran around with it to get a feel for it. But I thought the same thing. Maybe I should tape a squeegee to the back of it? Lol

My local field CQB uses them all the time and they work great, just pay attention and think about what you are doing and you should be fine.

If you get hit in it, I hope you call out and walk off. It's equipment on your person.

I don't think you understand the concept of a riot shield.

Tactical boogie board shield activated.

I loved every minute of playing with one. So much fun.

at my field we made one with a door frame with planks (think cod zombie barrier) and put netting on it, sooo much fun to use.

We have like 20 of these shields in our barn, most of the straps have dry rotted off though. they were police training shields. I should fix them up and see if my local field would allow it for a few objectives at a scenario or something. We used to use them for outlaw ball in our woods, but nobody really plays there anymore.

When/If I go to PRZ Asylum this year, I will totally pick one of these up, run with a pistol and a riot shield.

Towards the end of the year, maybe. A friendly team of the Brew City Bomb Squad invited us up there, so we're seeing if we can make the trip.

Ya that's pretty tiny. It'd be way more effective if it covered your entire profile when hunched.

dont think im going to invest in a bigger one but yea, I agree.......that one was way to small. It would only provide protection from your 12 O Clock, If someone was our 11 or 1 they had a shot.

Do you have rentals at your field? I say keep bringing it, you might make some rental kids day letting them use that thing. Even if it's not efficient, it'd probably cover way more of a kids profile and I bet they get a real kick out of it.

Yea. We had a private party going but a good half was using rentals. And yea you right. Bunch of people that didn't go said they would of gone just to try out the shield. Sounds pretty dope when it gets hit. I'll have a video up soon.

Like I said earlier, it looks like a lot of fun, if used in the right environment.

Not the most exciting video I've ever made but it does show a bit of the riot shield in action.
