HI,

I purchased a new Ninja 68/4500 tank for $200 for my birthday from Badlands Paintball. I used it ONCE, and the whole time it was in my Dye Rhino Tank cover. I go for a tank inspection (I'M SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYING ON SATURDAY!!!)

and this is what I see... What do I do? Do I get a new one? WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!

Here are the pictures in the link above ^^^

Thank you for your help, I need answers... and fast!

~Stefan

The tank itself should be fine, Ninja had a problem with the tanks they were using and the gel coating cracking. They've since fixed the problem with new tanks so the gel coat doesn't crack. Talk to Ninja, but you should be good to go this weekend.

You should be able to play with it. Not a very bad crack. If you just got it and want it fixed, try talking to ninja they have the best CS around!

If it's the gel coat, it looks like it is, Ninja will get you sorted out like everyone else has said already.

Click Here so you can get a Return Mailing Label for a repair of your tank. G'luck. :)

So is there anyone else that's had this? Do I send it to Ninja? Can I get a new tank if I give them this one?

A ton of people have had this happen. Yes i would send it to ninja if theres a while before you play again. They may give you a new tank or just repair the gel coat.

But as the others said as long as its in just the gel coat not the actual fibers you are ok.

This happened to me also, I filled out the form online that crPaliza posted, printed out the shipping labels then sent it out, and IIRC it was about a week turnaround time. For me, I believe they just took off the old gel coat and reapplied a new one (it was the same serial number i had).

And I also wanted them to leave my regulator uninstalled when they ship it back to me, and they did left it uninstalled when it came back to me.

This happened to me three weeks ago. i had a really bad crack where the gel coat actually fell off and you could see the carbon fiber. THe fibers themselves weren't actually damage but i sent it to ninja. I live like an hour from their place in Crystal Lake, IL but i shipped it anyways. It took one day to ship it there, two days to repair, and one day to ship it back. I sent it out monday and received it thursday. For me, they just covered the area with a glob of gel so it sticks out but with a tank cover i don't even notice. You could try to get them to give you a new tank but there really isn't a need for one. Whatever they send back to you will work.

the tank is still 100% safe to use.

I went to Badlands Paintball, and the tank was 0% safe to use. Thanks.

That's ridiculous. Who told you it wasn't safe? A small crack in the gel coating is completely safe to use; unless there is damage to the actual carbon fiber that I'm not seeing in the pictures.

who said so, or did something happen? If the staff there said so then there is nothing you can do.

Well the pictures of the tank you showed us does not have a huge crack.

from a month ago got this giant chip and everything and the actual gel coating came off revealing the carbon fiber. This tank is the one i use and it is fine. I only had it sent to ninja for cosmetic purposes. THe crack that you have only damaged the gel coating which exists solely for cosmetic purposes and some protection. Did you actually fill the tank with air? what made you think that your tank was not safe to use. uggh sorry for the large image. How do i scale it down?

It's just a coat. And that's that. You should educate the staff there about the problems ninja is having.

Then go return it, but there is nothing dangerous about using that tank.

I can't return it to Badlands, it's not their problem.
