I have a Dynasty edition geo 2.05 (pops asa), when i go to degass the marker, instead of purging the stored gas normally, it fires the marker, happens with both the marker turned on and off. I've cleaned and checked all the 0rings, everything looks fine (side note this has been happening for nearly 2 years happend for the previous owner and happens for me) marker fires normally chrono's fine, does not leak, gets typical geo 2 efficiency. Any one have any ideas? only part of the marker i have not taken apart is the solenoid. which im starting to feel like that may be the problem. also it happens with the oops asa as well not just with the pops asa. any feedback would be appreciated, its not really a big deal to me since it dosent seem to impact the markers performance, but its one of my main lender markers and if i forget to tell the person i lend it to, it can be quite a shock to them the first time they do it.

Are you sure its firing, and not just releasing the gas holding the bolt back?

there is a plastic piece inside the macro on the reg, remove it and make sure it is there. If it is, clean it and assemble, if not, contact PE and they will send you one.

There's supposed to be a part in the reg that stops this (I forget what it is), it sounds like you're missing that little part. I'd disassemble your reg and check it against the manual to see for sure.

its definitly firing may not be at full velocity but it is definitely luanching a ball from the breach

thanks I will Look into that in the A.m. is the piece in the reg its self or can i access it from pulling the macro elbow?

That part is the PCV or Purge Control Valve. If you have your manual it tells you about it under the "Know Your Geo 2" section or under the "SL3 Inline Regulator" section.

it is between the macro fitting and reg, should be able to see it when you take the macro fitting off.

That is a completely separate issue, and not related to the Geo problem.
