Alrighty, so I used my new cocker pump for the first time Saturday, and had a blast. I was using my backup hopper which is a TOO. It did ok but I'd really like a smaller hopper. Most I shot in 1 game was probably around 50 shots and that was 15 v 15. Normal games probably around 20 shots. So I'm leaning towards a 50rd app hopper since it seems to be smaller than a sport shot. I do have a 50 rd pod that I made from an older 100rd pod so running out of paint is not an issue. I'm just wondering what peoples preferences are and why.

I like 50 rds just because their smaller profile and Ive never shot more than 50 shots a game with my pump. The App 50 rd is a great choice, I have one and I love it.

I like the APP one also, especially if you do a locklid mod/something similar on it.

If you only shoot around 50 a game, then the App 50 is a very good choice like others have mentioned. Just remember to keep a 50 round pod or a few 10 round tubes in your pocket or in a pack, because you never know for sure how much you'll shoot and it really sucks to run out mid game.

I say use an APP 50 round hopper, since it seems as though you don't shoot much per game.I also suggest that you get one of these if you have a 13/3000:(scroll over)

It is a really cool idea and works good.Or,if you don't have a 13/3000,select one of these:

While they are a tad pricy, they are of very good quality and will last a long time. Both sites are run by the same guy,as well as his products.

I hate carrying pods with my OC pumps and I'll sometimes shoot more than 50 rounds during longer games, so I typically opt for a 100rd at a minimum.
I personally would sacrifice a slightly smaller profile for the assurance that I'll have enough paint for the game.

I usually use a 50 round (prefer winchester over APP) and use a 5/50 pack. All the benefits of the smaller hopper but with enough paint for several turnarounds.
When I need a little more juice I use an APP150 with a VL2k motor attached to it.

For big games or out door play i usually run a sport shot on my pump with a 3 pod pack on my back. 3 pods really not gona affect me in any way really and i find my pack comfy so dont mind carrying it just incase.

For small indoor rounds i either run a 50rnd loader and same pack but with only two 100rnd pods. OR i just run hopper ball with a Proto Primo.

I dont like running out of paint and it almost never happen i usually carrying WAY WAY too much paint but honestly im a BIG dude the extra maybe 8lbs of pod and pack really not gona effect me all that much.

Alternetaly when i play stock class or modifyed stock i run with a wrist strap with a few ten rnd tubes and a extra 12g.

Anyways I think I'm going to go with a 50rd for now and pick up a 100rd later. I appreciate all the input!

another thing to consider is that if you are using 50 rd pods with a 50 rd hopper you will either have to shoot almost all of your paint before you reload or waste some of your paint when you reload where as that isn't an issue with 50 rd pods and a sportshot.
the same thing can be said for using a sportshot and normal pods.

personally here is what i would prefer to use:
- sportshot w/ 50 rd pods
- APP 150 w/ 100 rd pods
- normal 200 rd hopper w/ normal 140 rd pods
