Hogback is trying a new big game format that will include prearranged squads, and early team selection. What that gives you is cheaper tickets as well as a goodie package that has yet to be released, but looks like it will have a map for the squad leaders, armbands, and some sort lanyard for your team card. This should be a good step forward to having more detailed big games. That being said people need to buy into it and want to help out getting their friends in to.

The date has been set april 7th 2013 the tickets are officially on sale, even if you don't have a squad there will be plenty of ad hoc squads formed the day of so don't be discouraged. For more up to date info check on the website www.hogback.net. If you have any questions feel free to ask even if its one you know but you think it might help others.

Can you choose a squad or do they make them for you?

you should be able to choose your squad ahead of time. As long as you buy tickets early. Each team should have a squad leader. Not only to give direction but to make it easier for the field to add the rest of your squad as tickets are continue to be sold. Say your name is John Doe. You have bought a ticket and chosen your team and you want your friend to join your squad. They buy tickets weeks later but still are able to join your squad as long as they know your name. For right now this has to be done over the phone. If it works out look for interactive web based data base where you can have more freedom to manage your squad on your own.
