I'm fairly new to paintballing and I saw someone said that there are older axes without the shockwave board and the newer axes come stock with it. Can someone please reply and help me out I'm really confused! Aren't all Empire axe release on the same year?

No. Kee did updates to the Axe. There is only one Axe but there are (I believe) only 1 updated version.

So you mean when the axe just came out there wasn't a shockwave board? Also if I'm going to buy a Axe from ansgear does it come with a shockwave board?

All new ones will be the updated version. You only have to worry about it if you are buying a used gun.

Nothing's wrong with the Optimus board I believe it's called that came with the first axes. The shockwave board has the exact same modes and everything, It's just easier to access because you don't have to remove any covers to program it.

The best customer service is the one you don't have to call in the first place.

Also the manual that comes with the marker may also only have instructions for the Optimus board. The Shockwave board manual can be easily found online anyway though. ( My bro went though this on his Mini)

I believe the optimus board is the board in the Mini's... The shockwave can be programmed from outside while the optimus, you have to open up the battery compartment.

Axe Pro, Spire, 68/45 Ninja, Virtue Vio
