Looking around the price range and can't decide on one of these. The etha might be compared to the drone as well.

I just picked up a Drone awhile ago, I've also used an axe and I prefer the drone. Shoots smooth, efficient once broken in plus you can quad mod it for more efficiency. Not that bad of a trigger that everyone says. Feels very solid in your hands. Also the maintenance is extremely simple compared to a lot of peoples beliefs. The packaging is AWESOME, nice case, macdev lube, full colour manual, 2 piece 14 inch macdev matchstick barrel and a macdev barrel sock. You have the option of upgrading to a oled in the future as well.

edit. They also improved the PSP mode which is now included in all of the drones.

I was looking for simple, quiet, and semi efficient. Everyone talks about how bad the axes ergos are and I am not sure if Iike them or not.

I'm buying a drone soon because think it looks and feels better. The axe may or may not be a better marker. Although I don't think it is $400 better. Oh also the drone doesn't really need upgrades other than a quad mod which isn't really necessary.

Personally I like the axe better, but then again trigger adjustment can make a difference. I was ripping on the axe like nothing unlike the drone where its hard at times to walk it. But honestly, its personal preference
