Okay. Before I begin, I want to know if it is okay to post this type of thing in this forum... If not, I will try and get it moved to a different forum.

Okay, so for years, I have watched the Techpb Radio Show. I love it! It's so cool how they help the community. Now, my question is.... How much would it cost to get me to make my own radio show... I'm just curious. please don't flame at me. I'm new to this stuff but I'm looking to do a Radio show on a different topic, not paintball. I'd love to have a similar setup to what willie has... Where you can stream video and audio through U Stream. what equipment would I need and how much $? I'm looking to also setup a mixer of some sort to swap in and out of music on the stream. Thanks for your guys' help! it is really appreciated....

Mics, cd player or something to play music (optional), a radio software to allow you to create playlists with exact timings, a mixer to run all of your sources (mics, cd players, etc.), a decent soundcard that takes at least 2 inputs, external compressor to avoid any clippings and to even the levels out, cables, and of course a computer that can stream. Prices will vary depending on what kind of quality you want.

If you could link me to the things I'd need, that'd be nice.... I have a 2011 macbook pro 2.4.... I already have a blue snowball for a mic... what mixer and if I want to play music straight from my laptop? and what radio software is nice? Like is it too much to ask for everything under $200? or is that just not going to happen?

First thing you need to look at is your Internet speed. That is probably the most important thing.

The next thing is .... Oops. Sorry. Trade secrets.

Here is a link to a website that describes some different software. My link I don't know what you want, just your voice or video, so this will help you. The Yamaha MG 10/2 mixer is good and you can find them for under a $100. Here is a link to some external compressors My link

I plan on using u stream to stream... do I need another software to manage my video and audio?
i'm planing on doing almost the exact same thing that Willie does... Video, Audio and live call in's.

And thanks on the Yamaha... Ill keep that in mind... Also, It'd be helpful to know how to set this all up once i get it.

I've pm'd willie... He hasn't responded... I'm pretty sure willie handles the Radio part of Techpb...

Yeah... that helped a little..... Hmm... I'm still unsure what specific things i will need besides a mic and a mixer.... What cords and software will I need?

Again, I'm attempting to run a show similar to the Techpb radio show....
