Is the m16 grip on a phantom plastic. I was thinking of getting one for my first pump?

The grips on the frame are plastic. The frame it's self isn't plastic. Try it out before you purchase, I had one awhile ago and didn't find it comfortable.

The m16 frame is some sort of polymer plastic, feels pretty ok, seems durable

Had an M16 style grip on my Sterling, that attached to the trigger group like the phantoms does. Bought the Phantom .45 grip frame (just the lower part), threw some grips on there... feels a million times better. The M16 grip is slippery and at bad angle for everything. Just uncomfortable.

All depends on what you like. I personally like the M16 Grips with an L stock. Very comfortable. 45* with Sticky Grips are also very nice.
