This just showed up on my news feed, looks like JT is going to release the impulse under their name

Features

  • LPR Balanced Valve Technology
  • Air Cushioned Piston
  • Blue OLED Screen
  • Contoured Slim Grip
  • Tool-Less Clamping Feed Neck
  • Wired Break Beam Eyes
  • 4 Way Adjustable Magnetic Trigger
  • Dual Bearing Suspended Trigger
  • Dovetail Mounted ASA System
  • On/Off ASA with Bleed
  • Two Piece 14" Micro Honed Barrel
  • Adjustable LPR
  • Software Upgradable Via Mini USB
  • Spring Driven Detents for Maximum Life

Kee (which owns JT) bought up most of Smart Parts when they liquidated back in 2010. I would say it looks like the 2009 Smart Parts Impulse, but the major difference I see in this picture is a macroline. Discuss!

maybe this is the midend version of the gun Empire's going to release?

nighthuntersig_edited-1.png

Using a gun that's been hardly maintained and tossed from person to person more than a village whore is hardly a fair way to compare the marker.

Doubtful. The Vanquish doesn't have an exposed bolt. (or at least the spoiler/teaser videos did't show one.)

if this is a midend Vanquish I'd be all over it.
The barrel would be so far up my butt.

"Yeah guys, I have a JT marker"
"LOL newb"
*whips out JT Impulse*
"Oh."

Plus it would totally match my JT Team pants (which they should bring back).

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that they wanted HP running through the marker.
Internal macro markers need LP so you don't blow o-rings inside, no?

JT is releasing pics, not a gun.So it isn't too smart of a move, because then the new gun will get all the publicity, not some new JT gun. But,if this is anything like the SP Impulses, then they will probably have hella good sales

My guess is that it will be something low end, since it uses the JT name.
Possibly an electro blowback like an azodin blitz or something like that

I swear to God if it's a stack tube blowback I'm gonna throw something.
I've been waiting for a low-end electropneumatic marker since I started.

And don't say ICD.
ICD is not currently making markers.

It looks like the Empire Sniper ASA (as much as I can see...) is on there too.

yeah that's what I thought too.

I could really care less if it was spool or poppit, as long as it was a cheap alternative to electropneumatic markers.

I don't think it will be like that, KEE already sells the mini for what $350 or something like that.
Making a Non sear-tripper poppet valve requires expensive parts and if they made one for less then $300 it would likely be shite.
And making one for more then $300 would be dumb on their part because it would be taking sales away from the mini.
Thats why i think it will most likely be a $150-$250 electro sear-tripper like a blitz, or spyder fenix

Well the Mini is an inline poppit.
The new "impulse" could be a stack tube poppit.

But yeah I guess it's inevitable.

It will be a mid-range gun, last I heard. Something parallel to the Axe, probably.

Mine leaked like a total motherfucker when I got it. Though, I can't recall that being a common problem, or a hard one to fix. I used dow 55 on some gaskets and the problem was fixed.

The terrible regulators and the weak feedneck were the main issues.

Just a stigma JT has never made a marker that is remotely half decent why would people want to spend their money on a JT marker an live with that stigma.

Paintball is full of fanboys eclipse fanboys dye fanboys bl fanboys! They scoop up everything they can get their hands on from their favorite manufactures. What makes Kee think that there is even a Single JT fanboy minus Kevin.

just hoping they dont ruin the impulse name. if the shot quality is as good as the 09 and the feedneck has been improved this could be a winner.

I like jt stuff. Since last year it seems that they have redeemed themselves under kee. Pants I saw looked top notch, as with the jerseys. Their packs look on par with Empire's, and their gloves are of their own style. Proflexs are proflexs, everyone loves them, but if they come out with a lense system thats quick change, and fits jt spectra products, then they'd be golden for 2013+. All theyd need to do is not come out with wannabe 98c's to be sold at walmart for kids to feel ashamed of when they walk onto an actual paintball field, which is what I hopefully see with the Impulse.

The terrible regulators and the weak feedneck were the main issues.

Weak feedneck I totally agree on, but I don't see what's terrible about the regs. Mine's always been as consistent as any other of my guns.

My LPR needed rebuilding every half a case. unless, of course, I wanted to shoot 240FPS.
And I wasn't the only one with that problem either.

Though, seeing past those issues, it was a good shooter, too bad those issues made it unusable.

Huh, it looks more like the Etek than I was expecting it to. Then again, I guess there's only so much you can do with stacked tubes. Did Simon Stevens do the updated design for this as well?

If it's a decent gun, who cares what brand it's under?

I know a guy...

Why not?

Mine leaked like a total motherfucker when I got it. Though, I can't recall that being a common problem, or a hard one to fix. I used dow 55 on some gaskets and the problem was fixed.

You must've had a dud or something, mine shoots amazing and has been nothing but perfect after I got it back from GoG. Just to clarify, I bought it new in 2012, so it had been sitting in the box on a shelf in Colorado for years, so I sent it to GoG to get cleaned up. Ever since then every time I've shot it it's been a great gun.

To be honest, though, this move surprises me. JT? Macroline? I could not have called this.

Now if they made a modern version of that for $150, I'd take it.
