I like it

I could care less how it "looks", I bet in the hands that gun is going to feel amazing

A poppet gun, that you can grip like a spool? No LPR knob to poke your fingers when you're trying to grip the gun?

That gun in the hands is going to feel amazing. I could give a shit how it looks sitting on the bench, how it feels in the hands is the most important thing. And the ergonomics on that gun look awesome

It's ugly as hell. Looks aren't everything, but they certainly affect my desire to own it.

It's like this dog. I'm sure he's friendly, loyal, and an overall great dog. I still don't want him.

I personally think that it's more important for a gun to shoot great rather than its looks. It's the same with the axe. Not very appealing but it shot great which is why people wanted them. I think the new ego is going to work great with the new features, though I'll never own it lol. Same with the vanquish, the features on that gun are amazing! Looks are eh but it's not all about looks. I know there's a lot to break down om what people want in a gun (maintenance, features, reliability, ergos, etc). But just between the 2 I'm discussing I think it's a 70% shot quality and 30% looks. If the gun shoots and feels great than it's a great gun. Let's just wait and see what happens after the initial release with everyone's opinion after using the gun

But looks are subjective anyway. There's a lot of people who like the way it looks to balance out all the people who don't. And to be honest, this happens with every new gun. Nobody will ever agree on everything lol

I think it looks great, but I'm even more excited by the chance to shoot one. HPR pressure well under 180psi by 30 psi or more and LPR around 75 psi. I bet it feels great during gameplay.

It's a step toward macro-less though. I remember Jack Wood said something about he doesn't see an Ego being Macroless on the outside until he can fit Macroline inside the gun. Or something to that extent.

That color scheme actually makes it look a lot nicer, it could still look even better with a macro though.

I don't like that macro line, hell go either way, this is much worse than removing it completely or keeping it. Not only does this not get rid of the annoyance of macro line, but if there's an issue it'll be damn near impossible to fix as its completely proprietary. Also, this isn't an axe, if it was the new etek I wouldn't give a shit how it looks, but this is likely a $1250 price range gun, it needs to work, and look gorgeous in that range, or be completely revolutionary to paintball....

I'd be fine with it if the reg looked slightly less milsim-y

o_O

If you think the reg looks "milsim-y", I'm not sure milsim is what you think it is...

Yes, performance matters much more than looks. The new valve system sounds improved and impressive. The lack of the LPR torpedo only matters (in terms of ergonomics) if you actually held the marker that way. People will always react strongly when the appearance of something iconic has changed, and in this case, it certainly has changed. I can't say I like the... What is it exactly? Macroline? Pneumatic line? Whatever its proper designation is, it seems to me to be a comprise that doesn't have any real benefit. It's in the way like macroline, and unbalances the aesthetic of the marker, and is rigid, but it also channels air through the frame like an internal system, with all the headaches that entails...

Now, maybe there is some new, hitherto unrevealed advantage this "uber line" has, and if and when I find out what that is, I would be more than happy change my mind. I like PE, I hope for only good things for them, they are a force majeur in paintball. I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

What's the point of moving the macroline up a few inches?

TERRIBLE IDEA because:

-It looks fucking hideous.
-You can't air it up without the grip frame.
-There's still a hose in the way.

All they accomplished was removing the possibility of a macroline leak, but did all that shit ^ as well. :tdn:

They're including another reg collar and bottle adapter so you can test it with the frame off. Still though, if you're gonna have to do that to test it anyway, why not just put the air transfer lines through the whole frame anyway.

True, but..

I don't think it will "shoot" much better than the Ego 11. With the release of this gun, the Ego 11's price is gonna go down the drain, and a lot of people are going to just get that instead.
