Creed was the first poppet to REALLY show the beauty of smooth milling on a poppet valve, so when we see outlines of a gun, were not seeing the sharper milling patterns that will be on the final gun, and its easier for the human brain to create smooth waves then sharp lines from nothing. Honestly this looks like a very early design sketch, I'd be quite surprised if the finished product looked all that similar to this....

Anyway I am VERY excite, everything macdev does is just amazing work, if I wasn't a spool guy I'd definitely be thinking of picking up one of these bad boys (looking at the clone now) :P

First After Mike!

what did I tell about doing that?

I have to admit that the sharp "tail" with the bolt surprises me. No bolt pin, so we can assume that it at least doesnt have the pin going up. But that sharp back implies that it wont be the same enclosed bolt like the RX.

Meh. The Victory is a nice gun, but I would shoot the Borg over it in a second. I am sure the spoolie bolt on the VCOM will be nice, but if I wanted to be shooting a spoolie, the VCOM wouldnt be it. It is nice to have the options for "two guns in one" but I wouldnt pick the Vic as a poppet or a spoolie. Especially not at the new price. You can bet that all the high end spoolies will outperform the VCOM.

If the VCOM can shoot smoother and quieter than a Luxe, Vapor, Clone, ZR1, Demon, or DM, I would be absolutely shocked. Bob specializes in poppets, and his poppets arent even the best performers, so I dont expect amazing performance out of the VCOM on the spoolie side. I see it as a novelty item, for someone that doesnt want two guns, but still wants one of each type. For that niche, I am sure it does well.

Exactly, because buying a victory for $1250 and a spool engine for another $250 you basically have 2 guns.
also if something ever goes wrong with your victory's engine you can just switch it out for the other engine as a backup

The VCOM comes with both engines, and I believe to buy the engine separately it is $170

That's the idea. I think James even said they had plans to put a transducer in the previous Cyborg, but they didn't like the quality of transducers they were looking at or something like that.

Yeah, if anything, a pressure sensor is less useful in single reg guns than in double reg'd guns, where the LPR pressure is key.

yes i have, and i dont like it... i also dont like how stretched out the RX is... i dont like long guns... even my ego11 felt slightly too long... i am used to shooting a mini cocker, which is nice and tight... same with the vice i used for 2 seasons... and the multiple victories i've owned... i like a tight, but not cramped, feeling gun...

i reall hope this gun feels good int he hands, as i loved how the RX shot, but the length bothered me, i could never get comfortable with it

I'm short as hell so the RX feels really like I'm shooting a rifle with a vertical grip it's too long for me, i really didn't like the longness of that marker.

and I have never really heard people complain about a marker being to short, maybe the mini was too small, but everything else you can tolerate.

Cyborg 6

In 2003, MacDev released the first Cyborg, a paintball marker built for speed and performance. Five successful models were made, cementing MacDev's place among the high end marker industry. It has now been 6 years since a Cyborg model was released, and we are pleased to announce the intention of releasing a new model, the Cyborg 6 in 2014.

The Cyborg 6 is the single most advanced, feature rich paintball marker ever designed, with a muscular and powerful body shape to complement a gun bursting with technology. If you intend to own a poppet style high end marker, there can be only one choice in 2014.

Cyborg 6 pre production prototypes will be shown a the Paintball Extravaganza in the USA and at the MAXS open house in Germany.

The Cyborg 6 will feature:
- Full gas through design (no hoses inside or out, or even half hoses)
- Matching soft grips on the front regulator, barrel back and hand grip
- Tool-less pullout drivetrain
- Soft tip, capped bolt for fragile paint and optimum air direction
- Dual transducer electronics for digital tuning
- Colour OLED screen and USB updating facilities
- Plug free frame to body electrical connection
- Proprietary, high flow, low power solenoid
- Easy turn venting ASA
- Shift 2 barrel system
- Clean, comfortable ergonomics, with lengthened front grip distance for stability
- High volume, low pressure with low recoil directed backwards rather than upwards for ultimate accuracy.
- Sleeved direct ported ram design that has always been the hallmark of the Cyborg, a high precision ram sleeve that protects your gun body

Why do they have the ASA knob so recessed like that still? I hated it on the GT, and they did it again on the Cyborg.

always loved the borg.

The ultimate truth in paintball is that the interaction between the gun and the player is far and away the largest factor in accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

And yes, Gordon is the sexiest manifestation of "to the front."
