Ok here is my scenario. It costs me 100 bucks to go play for a day.

45$- 500 paintballs
10$- entry fee
30-40$ - gas money
Remaining $ for food

Any tips on saving dough? I play pump/ pistol / slingshot/ melee weapons so 500 does me well. I try to convince people to play with me to collect some gas money.

Basically I'm curious what you guys pay to play and how you save money.

How far are you driving to play?

Also $45 bucks for only 500 paintballs is a ripoff in my book.

It's an hour and a half at least.

It's feild paint only. 10$-100. 45$-500 etc.

I wouldn't play there. Field paint here is $60 for a case of $2000. $45 for 500 is a rip off. I would play else were. But if you are driving that far you may not have a choice in the matter.

In your case playing pump maybe the only way to save money. That way you can make the paint last longer.

You Canadians have it rough. I have two fields 10 minutes away, two more 30 minutes away, and two more 40 minutes away. A case is 40 bucks at all of them, entry is 10-20 bucks, gas isn't too bad because of how close they are. I bring my own food or I just drive home to eat because of the proximity.

Do what I do, bring your own food. That should lower the cost some, and because of that you will generally eat healthier. Other than playing pump, which you do already, there isn't really a whole lot you can do that I can see.

wow that sucks, it looks like you really cant do much if that's the cheapest the paint will get, where I am I can get a box of 2000 for 45 because I have a season pass, do they have some kind of discount like that? because that might be an option.

It takes $50 to my field and back in gas at least.

paint is $70 a Case

entry is $10.

amount of time to play with good players. 5 Hours max(it's also hour and a half to get their).

It's worse for Maximuslinky. He lives 100 Miles East of me, so he Drives around 182 Miles just to get to UXP(it's a 3 hour drive at least)

Where in rural Ontario are you playing? Flagswipe will let you play with paint that you buy in their store (for the indoor field, white fill only), and then it's ~$45 a case.

Yes, I have noticed most places in Ontario are a rip-off on paint.

I live in the small town of Hanover Ontario lol. (Right beside walkerton, they had the ecoli breakout a while back?)

So I'm between wasaga and flag raiders. Wasaga for summer, flag raiders for winter. I hear flag swipe is nice but that's 2.5 hours away lol.

Set up your own private field?

If you don't like the choices, do something about it. See if you can do any better.

That's what I would do. Or move.
