Scores/Standings of Pro RaceTo-7

Share your thoughts on this years PSP Dallas event standings and outcomes
Personally I was expecting TBD to take it all the way and was surprised to find out that they lost 2-5 against Dynasty
Anybody have anything to say about Chicago Aftershock getting scraped in the Prelims? Haha

I think that Dynasty pulled the most impressive win for the year against Infamous. I also think that Houston Heat started off a tad weak in this season. CEP is a pleasant surprise, coming out great for this year. Everyone else seems to be in their same starting position; I'm sure Damage and those other prominent teams will come out and shine during the next event.

I think Dynasty showed that it is going to be another great year for them

I was disappointed in how Heat played

Infamous did much better than I expected them to, however I think they had the easiest bracket.

CEP really impressed me, hopefully it's a sign of more to come from them.

Impact had a decent showing and I think we will see them win an event this year.

Would have like to see Damage finish lower (I hate Damage!)

Happy to see teams that can't compete move down a league, looking forward to seeing the hungry D1 teams take their spots (looking at you Vicious)

Huston Heat played their fucking hearts out! I think they may have played more paintball in the Prelims and Quarter-Finals than Dynasty and/or Damage did in the whole event. They didn't go down easily, stomping the field in two out of four games in the Prelims winning 7-2 and 7-1. I think they could have just gotten worn out, I see them going further in the next event but lets face it, no team can have the stamina to play a total of 11, 13, and 10 games in their second, fourth, and quarter-finals matches. But I do agree that Damage had an "easier" line up but it wasn't anything close to a cake walk, still taking down RL and Impact, some credit has to be given for that.
I'll see you on the flipside.

CEP impressed me the most by not playing like immature hotheads riding the penalty train. I was going to watch something else than their games, glad i did'nt because that was good paintball. Looking forward to see them playing again in the next event.
Heat, Damage and Red Legion seemed to be not quite in their usual rythm, the russians having the hardest time of it. Infamous played until their wheels fell off and showed us the paintball version of "going down with the flag up". I wonder how far they would have gone with a couple of more team mates that could have helped out with the load.

But my hat off to Dynasty. I'm not a fan but i love to see teams that have struggled suddenly just snap together like they did in this last event. And what i like the most is that it was not total domination, several games games was on the edge and they somehow, with a different team mate each time, managed to pull thru.

As the saying goes, "the hardest thing is not to get to the top, but to stay there", and if this first event is a sign for the next events then i think we will have many great games to see this year :)

Here is my Breakdown in order.

Bracket A:

Heat: Choke! CHOKE! CHOKE!
-
X-Factor: communication needs a hell of a lot of work
-
Dynasty: Some old dogs just don'y lay down
-
CEP: Holy shit! they can ball!
-
XSV: hahaha!!! wow!!!
-----------------------

Bracket B:
Damage: played amazing, but they did show that work needs done
-
Red legion: poor guys...
-
Vicious: Needs to be vicious and attack.
-
Aftershock: Well, there is always next season right?
-
Impact: Too little, to late.
----------------------------

Bracket C:
Infamous: These guys can be champions easily.
-
Ironmen: they can play against anyone just fine
-
187 Crew: to much spark, not enough flame(will get better)
-
Seattle Thunder: Hey at least we look good...
-
TonTon: Biggest surprise of the tournament.

You thought Tontons were the biggest surprise? Bigger than CEP? Hmm interesting. I found Tontons performed exactly how I thought they would.

you have to remember, when teams come accross the pond(from millenium to murika!) they don't do very well... To see an international team that's not made up of psycho Russians and perform like they did... That was amazing to watch them, even funnier to listen to the little frenchies talk to each other.

American teams go over there all the time and lose.
You should also be careful of the kinds of remarks you make.

^but it's a completely different format.

Also remember Who won millenium last year... Art Chaos, that team is built upon some of the best players in the WORLD.

Dynasty took 2nd

TonTon took 3rd.

While I'm not surprised the Tontons took 3rd in Millenium the pace of the game here is much faster. American teams are not per say "better" but our format is built for speed, going from Slower paced chess match to a tweaked out Checkers match is tough to handle.. You also have to take in consideration this was the TonTons first tournment in America in a few years.

I can see that, that's a really good point. I think the Russians will make it through to at least the Quarter finals by Chicago Open and hopefully I'm there to see them do so.
I'll see you on the flipside.

Haha the ton tons had the opposite view. And I love how good the iron men came out!! I was on the edge of my seat not to mention the dynasty and infamous game which I fell out of my seat on! I'm glad damage lost, they are cocky as fuck. Impact and heat were definitely the biggest disappointments

Yeah, after the SocialPaintball interviews with their players and staff I really don't have much respect for them. Sure they gave their honest opinions, but I was not impressed by those opinions. I expected much more professionalism from professional paintball players. But like someone said in the thread about those videos, the average paintball player is basically a frat boy so maybe my expectations are too high.

Dynasty is a model, or at least should be, for all the other teams.

Dynasty does.. well.. leave behind a dynasty. They have some of the most talented paintball players in the history of speedball and will be looked up to long after they have left the sport - if they ever do that is, lol
I'll see you on the flipside.

That's what I thought until I saw they were a bunch of whiners at NPPL World Cup 2011. They're all right now.

I love you.
