The Champion and Challenger teams have officially been sorted
http://pspevents.com...ngers-revealed/

All PSP Professional teams competed against each other in the 2013 PSP Dallas Open for one of the 10 PSP Mid-Atlantic Open Pro Champions Division spots. The other Pro teams, as well as newly added Pro Teams, will be competing in the new Challengers Division at the PSP MAO. Here is the official list of PSP Champions and Challengers for the 2013 PSP Mid-Atlantic Open at OXCC Paintball Park in Chesapeake City, Maryland May 3 – 5, 2013:

PSP Champions Division

San Diego Dynasty
Tampa Bay Damage
Los Angeles Infamous
Edmonton Impact
Houston Heat
Los Angeles Ironmen
TonTons Flingueurs
Moscow Red Legion
Chattanooga C.E.P.
San Antonio X-Factor

PSP Challengers Division

upTon 187 cRew
Omaha Vicious
Seattle Thunder
Sacramento XSV
Chicago Aftershock
Sacramento DMG
San Jose Royalty
Texas Storm
Trenton Topgun Union
New Jersey Jesters

As explained earlier in the season, the Challengers Division will use the same format and rules as the Champions, but play on a secondary Professional field during the prelims and will play their final match on the main field for all their fans to watch. The top two teams from the Challengers Division in each event will move up and compete in the PSP Champions Division. They will be replacing the bottom 2 finishers from the Champions Division, who will instead be moved to the Challengers Division.

This system of constant circulation will continue event by event for seasons to come. It is now more important than ever for teams to give their all in each match – as they no longer have just one goal of winning the event – but must perform at their top in every game to make sure they do not suffer the consequence of being knocked out of the Champions Division. Likewise, the Challengers Division teams at each event have the option to perform and move up for the following event.

For the Challengers Division, I am watching Omaha Vicious, Sac. XSV, and Upton Crew. Any ideas on who will be biting the bullet in Champions Division, though?

There's a lot of volatile teams in the champions division. I feel like TonTons and CEP could all do really well, and really bad. Other than that, nobody has been playing particularly bad.

I love you.

I see CEP falling at MAO... and 187 advancing.

After the TonTons recent win I dont see them dropping down. RL and CEP might though, although CEP made HUGE improvements this year.

I wouldnt be surprised if Vicious and 187 moved up.

I could see Vicious moving up with the recent addition to their staff. I would like to see 187 move up, but don't see that happening. XSV either. But, it's early in the season, you never know. It will be interesting to see how CEP performs coming off such a good showing in Texas, all the while keeping in mind how they played last year. They seem to be the wildcard in the Champions division.

The only reason I cannot see Vicious moving up is because of how rough of a history they have. On one hand, they are a great team, on the other they had a horrible losing streak for a while. They're a toss up.

^you do know they got Todd Martinez as a Coach now... He nearly single handedly saved Infamous(along with a few core guys like Sewers and Cuba)

Like I said, they're a toss up. I remember watching that documentary about them, along with reading a few interviews, and the team overall seems to be having a hard time gelling right now. I'm not saying they still are, just from what I have read. There is a great possibility I am wrong though, and with Todd as their coach they will come out and wreck people.

Aftershock has been doing pretty damn bad for quite a while now, especially after losing Slowiak.

I love this new layout.

I can't wait to play it with the way that snake is set up.

Good point. However some teams just have good moments! Was the Dynasty win a lucky break? Did CEP take advantage of other team's early season faults? Only time will tell, and I can't wait to watch!
