Due to the popularity of the event, we finally had to get organized on camping to properly ensure the safety of our players. If you plan on camping, please read it. Let me know if you have any questions! The map will also be on banners posted throughout the facility for people to easily see.

Hmm, what would a horse trailer with a living area being pulled by a truck fall under?

Couple questions. What is the VIP area? Where is the Central Park area that your speak of? And this is more of a comment I guess, but no glass beer bottles allowed for party time? I dislike beer in a can so that is a major bummer for me.

This will be my first year going, do a lot of people show up on thursday? Trying to figure out when I should leave, and how quickly the camping there fills up?

More and more start to show up Thursday and we are here anyways setting up, so we opened it a day earlier than normal. Most come Friday. As far as how quick it fills up, I have no idea. I did not pay attention last year.

VIP area is set aside for a couple home teams helping with disabled veterans.

Central Park is where the pavilions are and picnic tables where people stage on a normal day around here. It is not in the picture. If you go up on the picture from the vendor area, you have the old skate park, and then a tree line.. and the Central park.

No glass bottles is for everyone's safety. Just pour it in a plastic cup :)

The camping areas didn't seem to really start filling up until Friday afternoon last year, but there was plenty of area left. This year with even more camping it shouldn't be any problem even if you show up Saturday morning and set up camp.

Karnokr, that's what it seemed like, but most people arriving afternoon Friday were on the hill which from what I hear is a terrible place to set up, lol. Glad to see there is extra space this year.

Very good question!

Sean, is there going to be ice for sale at the field? Last year we went on food and ice runs every day, but this year I plan on bringing food and water to last all weekend.

Sean, can we set up team pop up tents not in the grand central area? Like behind the bleachers by bedlam?

Alright time to plan this in my head, I get up early perhaps 5:00am or 6:00am, get there in 30-40min, find a spot for the trailer/RV thing call it what you will, go pick up my player card, papers and paint, most likely head back to the trailer to suit up, go get chrono, grab my team tape then head out to the starting point and "MAKE" the opening dash... Think I can make it?

You should be good, just make sure to double check your Chrono before showing up, so you don't spend a lot of time at the chrono line. That and paint can be a killer.

I believe we have TechPB to the right of the stage. Should be ok with a few pop ups, but I Darryl and I will have to finalize it. We have not forgotten about the TechPB area. :)

Sean,

I see that this year there is no parking along side the curb around the outside of the parking lot.

Can you explain this? Personally bring tents so not an issue, just wondering what to expect with all the teams that had their cars and trailers parked there last year.

With all the vehicles parked along the curb, it made it more difficult for cars to maneuver through the parking lot, which will also make it more difficult for emergency vehicles too if needed. So, we decided to free it up since we have more space to work with since the NPPL is not here. We also have an increase in numbers this year and we are 17% above last year on prereg YTD about a week ago.

I will have those maps up in the form of banners posted around the curb and in the campland areas so people will see what is going on.

Sean, are there any water spigots that will be available for guest use, say for us to fill shower bladders and the like? If so, where might they be located? Also, for campground #3, are we allowed to pull vehicles up to unload, setup, and then move them to the lot? Seems far to lug tents, etc. there otherwise.

I think this is already covered in the rules under "be courteous" and "11:30pm noise curfew." This is the first year I'm bringing one and made it a point to get a quality inverter generator that is very quite. Hopefully people will continue to use them responsibly so we don't see any limitations imposed. That said, I recall at LL4 a CPX team had a large generator that they ran well into the early morning hours that was so loud I opted to bring ear plugs for LL5, even if I was 200 yards away. If you're looking for specifics, I'd say under 60dB (normal conversation) for the night would be greatly appreciated by those of us who try to get some sleep in.

Thanks for the heads up, of corse it's not my generator so I honestly have no idea how loud it's going to be.

I guess this question kinda goes with this, but are there any camping areas that we can camp by our vehicles at? Or is parking only allowed in the lot?

You cannot camp by your vehicle unless you are very creative in the rules. You should be able to park fairly close depending on when you get there.

There are water spigots in Campland 3 and over by the Pavillion near Campland 2. There is also another one under the drinking fountain by the bathrooms, which will be open this year.
