I see.
So if I were to post multiple full games, then it should all be raw?

Correct. Although once you create the montage of the videos, do it with music

Light backround music with the playing noise infront would be intresting

Well it really depends. If it's highlighting just you, then I say Raw.
But for the most part, music or good commentating is really the best.
I HATE Social Paintball's Raw videos, because it's nothing compared to the Commentated ones with a good view of the field.
Music videos. They make things sound less...havoc-y.

I can't stand starting a video up and having heavy metal or something blasting.

If you were to have music, I'd say the best is to not let it be the focal point of the video. The video is about paintball, not what music you like. Have it soft in the background and make sure we can hear the video(surprisingly I like hearing the sounds of paintballs and such). Also make sure you pick appropriate music that matches what's going on in the video.

Yeah the music shouldn't be the highlight. I actually like the idea of softer music in the background.
But don't have it metal or something stupid. Preferably something with less words. Like Wubstep Dubstep, or dubstep remixes of songs.

At least the trend of every video having the song "Bring Me to Life" by evanescence died out. That song causes me to have a spasm towards the mute button so hard that I shatter my keyboard.

I think helmet cam vids should have no music, I wanna hear how close balls are to you and how well you communicate.
If I didn't buy so many guns for the sole purpose of fondling them i'd be a very rich man.
Am I the only one that when they see FEP QUEST they read it as FAP-QUEST then chuckle silently?

It totally depends... I have all kinds of variations on each on my channel, some full games with no music, other full games with music. And the view counts show that there is a group of people that enjoy full game footage, and most of the vocal ones say to leave the music out of game footage...

But, the most viewed videos I put out are the compilations where the video is short, and has a music track playing some upbeat canned music. The majority of youtube viewers like action and tons of it put together in a short package with tunes. The biggest problem with in game footage is the viewer can't tell what is going on... If you can SEE the hits, then it is a different story, but most helmet cam footage doesn't show what you are shooting at. And if you have to write on the screen that you got someone, it isn't that fun to watch.

People want to see the paintball hit your opponent and spray paint. THAT alone brings the most views. Regardless if it has music or not.

I prefer raw footage so I can hear myself screaming like a 12 year old school girl when I'm hit.

Serious response: Raw footage.

With or without music, the most important thing is EDIT EDIT EDIT.

Nobody wants to watch a full 10-15 minute game of rec ball when the action/story/good footage can be told in 2-3 min.

When I was dabbling with video, I found that I could sum up a whole day in 8-10 minutes of edited footage and call that good. Sometimes less.

cdnninja made this one and I am around 99% sure he is older than 12. I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find more Die Antwoord or find some metal. And I don't think I have seen a 12 year old post a video that wasn't made by their parents on youtube ever, so if you could be so kind as to direct me to one of these videos it would be greatly appreciated.

He was talking about metal and these songs specifically :
Spoiler

Since the copyright problems on Youtube limit which songs can be on a video most kids who make home-movies put these songs on their videos to make them 'cooler'. If you have spent anytime on youtube since 2008 you would most likely hear one of these songs on a video.
oh and here's a video

I'd rather have the raw footage. However, if the music follows the flow of the action and not just some arbitrarily embedded overdub, then it's alright.
