I really enjoy paintball, but with the local outdoor field closing it leaves me with no woodsball and the only rec ball is at the indoor facility shooting reballs. I don't really care for how they run the reball facility, I find there are a lot of poor attitudes and superiority complexes with the people who play there. I have the option to play in a tournament series that is starting up this year but I just can't swing t financially to play tournament paintball at this point in my life, with the wedding approaching and everything. I don't really WANT to stop playing paintball, but I can't seem to think of a way to play, and continue having as much fun doing so.

Last summer I started to pick up fishing and have really started to enjoy that, I'm kind of considering selling my paintball stuff to get myself setup with some good fishing gear and taking that on for the summer months.

I'm currently rostered on an ATWL team which is a local woodsball league but with no woodsball field we don't have a place to practice, so I'm not sure what is going to happen there.

Learn an instrument. I've been playing guitar since I was 5 and it's loads of fun when you get good.

I think that if you really want to try out fishing, you should sell your gear except for the essentials ( marker mask tank loader) to pay for some fishing equipment ( yesterday I was at Canadian Tire checking out fishing stuff and the initial purchase doesn't seem like that much..). I think that you should keep some of your paintball equipment because even though right now you don't think that you will continue to play but down the line you might get an itch to play again or a friend will invite you to play or perhaps a new field will open up . When those times come you will probably regret selling your stuff.

I've actually done a couple of things like that before where I sold or gave away my things from a hobby then I felt shitty when I wanted to start that hobby again. A few years ago I played Warhammer , I got bored of it after a couple of years. I wanted to sell my figures but my Mom warned me not to . This year I was a little bored and realized that Warhammer is still a big thing so I got my Warhammer figures from under my bed ; I went to go play a game and it was great. I was so happy that I never sold them.

I've already got things for fishing, started last summer. Really enjoy it, I don't fish for anything impressive or anything, but I still find it very fun.

My most memorable moments fishing have been getting completely skunked or catching pretty small fish.

Deep Sea fishing is hella fun too if you know what you're going for.

Buy a motorcycle and ride around. This will lead to finding a girl to ride 2 up with you and a beautiful love story will be born.

Well, it seems that he is past that point, as he has an upcoming wedding. Then again, beautiful love story round 2, perhaps?

with the wedding approaching and everything.

Hah, missed that. Either way, bikes can be fun. Plus if it's the right style of bike you can even bring your significant other along for a little weekend trip.

haha yea bike is a no go, my fiance lost a cousin and very close friend in the same year, both were motorcycle accidents, both were at the fault of idiot motorists not watching for bikes. If I came home with a motorcycle she would rip me limb from limb.

as for "trolling" that's a lifestyle, not a hobby

On a positive note I caught my first brookie of the year, got an 8 and a half incher a few days ago. Got skunked tonight but honestly wasn't expecting to see anything in this spot, went to watch a meteor shower with the fiance and just happens to be a brook that runs by. My favorite spot opens up on May 15th which I'm pumped for, and I think I'm going again Friday. Also some buddies have been discussing possible shark fishing tour in the bay.

and moving is a no go for now

 for frisbee golf. I don't know how many hours I've spent out in the spring through fall throwing with friends. Grab a little cooler with some beer and you have yourself a day.

http://www.dgcoursereview.com/ put in your zip code and there should be a course not more than 20 minutes away from you. Disc golf courses are all over the place. In maine I have six courses within a half hour away from me.

one of my favorite past times, and if u wanna tromp around the course u can usually find disks that don't have names on them. i always tried to give back the ones that did. i played for over 20 years.. loved it.

I've got some good news in regards to my local paintball scene, there has been a confirmed new woodsball/rec field in its planning stages only 2km away from the old one, I don't believe it will be open until the end of the summer but at least its something.

Going to play in a league practice this Sunday which I'm looking forward to, and hoping to make it out to Friday night reball as well.

Congrats man.

Although I'm still rooting that you would get a "motorcycle". Then I will happily come visit your field.
